Zulal Bhilajirao Patil College formerly known as Jai Hind Arts, Science and Commerce College affiliated to the University of Pune was established in June 1982 later it was affiliated to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon established on 15th Aug. 1990. In 1982 the student strength was just 250 and today the college stands in a multi-storied, majestic building providing education to more than two thousand and eight hundred students. Z. B. Patil College, Dhule located in the remotest part of Maharashtra, shares its borders with Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

Being predominantly a tribal and rural area, it is economically and industrially backward. In this arid land, Zulal Bhilajirao Patil (Jai Hind) College has created an oasis of quality education with a mission to mobilize students’ strength for a healthy democracy. This is undertaken by inculcating the values of leadership, creativity, aesthetics, citizenship, and a healthy respect for life and nature. Within a short period, the College came to be known for its academic excellence and established “Jai Hind” as a brand name.

A library card is issued to each student and books are issued to them every week. A book bank facility (a set of books) is made available for economically weaker students. There are separate issuing counters for staff and students. There are separate reading halls for boys and girls. There is a special issuing counter for reading halls.Students participating in various competitions, and appearing for competitive examinations and students involved in research are provided books.The library facilities are available from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm on all working days. Internet facility in the library is accessed by the students and staff to surf the online journals, magazines etc.The college library also provides reading room facility at night during examinations.The library caters to the needs of UG, PG and research students and staff. The collection caters to the needs for teaching learning (UG, PG), research, reference, reading and preparation of projects, reports and for competitive examinations. The library ensures procurement of the latest and updated learning resources through latest catalogues.

Placements Comments:

The Training and Placement cell started in the year 2004 to facilitate the students with the Campus Recruitment and Pre-placement Training of students. With the assistance of faculty members and student co-ordinators – organize the logistic support to the companies who visit the College for placements by assisting them to conduct Presentations, Tests, Group Discussions and Interviews.
