CUET Exam Day Guidelines 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the important CUET exam day 2025 instructions and CUET 2025 admit card. CUET admit card 2025 contains the details of the exam center and timing as well as the do’s and don’ts for the CUET exam and the list of prohibited items for the candidates. National Testing Agency will conduct the CUET 2025 exam in computer mode in a window of multiple days. CUET UG 2025 exam is expected to be scheduled in May/June. The exam will be conducted in OMR format for 15 subjects. CUET exam day guidelines are very important, as not reading even one of them can hamper their chances of appearing in the entrance exam. CUET Exam Day Guidelines 2025
The CUET 2025 exam will be tentatively held from May 15 to May 24, 2025. Along with the release of the admit card, the guidelines for the CUET exam day have been released. The CUET 2025 admit card contains details of the guidelines to be followed on the CUET exam day 2025. Some important instructions to be followed before and during the exam are given below.
- Candidates must first check the exam centre to get familiar with the exam venue.
- It is good practice to have a good sleep a night before the exam. This helps students to remember or recall during the exam and avoid any anxiety or stress.
- Candidates must have a light breakfast before the exam and avoid overeating.
- Before reaching the exam centre, they are advised to carry important documents like admit card and valid ID proof.
- Students must reach the exam centre 1 hour before the reporting time to avoid any kind of rush.
- At the time of the exam, students must read the questions properly and then solve them without any stress. Also, there is a negative marking scheme in the CUET exam which students must keep in mind while attempting any unfamiliar question.
- In case of any technical problem, students must contact the invigilator to fix the technical problem.
- While attempting mental ability questions, students must use a rough sheet and enter the details in it as told by the invigilator.
- If any irregularities are found during the examination, the students will be barred from appearing in the examination in the exam for 3 years.
CUET 2025 Exam Day Facilities for PwBD Candidates
Any PwBD candidate with benchmark disability (benchmark disability should be 40%) should bring a valid disability certificate to the exam centre. In addition, such candidates will be provided with the following facilities:
- If the candidate is physically handicapped and the exam is not to be written on his/her behalf, a scribe will be provided to him/her. A valid disability certificate must be certified by the CMO/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.
- Such students will be given an additional time of 1 hour out of the total examination duration of 3 hours, whether they use a scribe or not. It must be noted that the scribe will only read the question and mark the answer as per the candidate's choice. The scribe will not suggest answers to the candidate during the examination.
Note: A scribe facility will be provided to students who opt for scribe service during online CUET 2025 registration. Also, if requested, scribes will be provided by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
CUET 2025 Exam Day Guidelines: Dress Code
On the day of the exam, candidates must follow the CUET exam dress code to appear for the exam. Check below to know the CUET 2025 exam day dress guidelines prescribed by NTA:
- Wearing light clothes with long sleeves will not be permitted.
- If candidates come to the examination centre in cultural/traditional attire, they must report at least one hour before the last reporting time so that there is sufficient time for proper frisking without causing any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining the sanctity of the examination.
- Slippers and sandals with low heels are permitted. Shoes are not permitted.
- In case any deviation is required due to unavoidable (medical, etc.) circumstances, special approval of NTA has to be taken before issuing the CUET 2025 admit card.
CUET Exam Timings
The duration of the CUET exam is from 45 minutes to 60 minutes which varies according to the subject. The general exam paper and other subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Economics etc. will be conducted for 60 minutes. The duration of other subjects like English, Hindi, Geography, Sociology etc. is 45 minutes.
Things to Carry to the CUET 2025 Exam Center
Candidates are allowed to carry the following things to the CUET 2025 exam center:
- Take a printout of the admit card and provide your self-declaration form where indicated.
- Carry any valid identity card along with the admit card for verification.
- Along with this, it is also necessary to carry a photograph to be pasted on the attendance sheet during the exam.
- For PwDB candidates, it is mandatory to carry an authorized medical certificate to the exam center.
- Candidates can also carry a water bottle, but the water bottle must be transparent. Students must keep in mind that the pen they are carrying should also be transparent.
Things Not to Carry to the CUET 2025 Exam Center
Candidates are not allowed to carry the following things to the CUET 2025 exam center:
- Any kind of electronic device or gadget.
- Handbags or wallets.
- Printed notebook or blank white paper.
- Any kind of jewelry like nose pins, earrings, bangles, pendants, hair bands, chains, necklaces, etc.
- Close sandals or shoes.

CUET Exam Day Instructions 2025: During the exam
Seating arrangements
- Each candidate will be allotted a seat indicating his/her roll number.
- Candidates should find and sit on their allotted seat only.
- If a candidate attempts to change his/her seat and does not sit on the seat allotted to him/her, his/her candidature is liable to be canceled.
- No plea will be entertained in this regard.
Follow the CUET exam day instructions given by the Invigilator
- The candidate must ensure that the question paper available on the computer is as per the subject mentioned in his/her Admit Card.
- If the subject of the question paper is other than the subject selected by him/her, it should be brought to the notice of the concerned invigilator.

Rough Work
- After completing the exam, candidates must submit their rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the exam room or hall.
- All calculations and writing must be done on the rough sheets provided at the exam center.

- For any technical support, first aid emergency or any other information during the examination, candidates may contact the Centre Superintendent/Invigilator in the hall.
- For any query or problem related to the Computer Based Examination, candidates may contact the helpline numbers available on the NTA website.
- If a candidate appears in more than one shift/date by providing incorrect information, his/her candidature will be cancelled and his/her result will not be declared.
Note: Candidates are required to appear at the examination center on the date, Test/Subject and time mentioned in the CUET Admit Card issued by NTA, at their own expense.
