The CUET UG 2025 exam pattern has been revised. UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadeesh Kumar suggested that CUET UG will see changes in the exam duration, mode of examination, and number of subjects. The exam has been brought back to the CBT mode. CUET UG will have three sections. Section 1 will have 13 languages, Section 2 will include 23 domain subjects, and Section 3 will be a general exam. Candidates will be allowed to take five subjects, which has been reduced from six. Students will be eligible to choose any CUET subject irrespective of the subjects studied in Class 12. Candidates can start preparing for CUET UG along with board exams.
CUET 2025 exam date will be announced soon. It is expected that the exam will be scheduled in May/June 2025. CUET UG 2025 will be divided into three parts, which will consist of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs). The medium of the CUET question paper will be English and the languages chosen by the candidates from among the 12 regional languages. Each question will carry five marks and there will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.

For CUET UG exams NTA lays down the marking scheme aggregate marks for the CUET UG 2025 exam is 250 marks per subject. the marking scheme for the exam is below.
1. Marks 5 for each correct answer students will be awarded.
2. For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted, there is a negative marking.
The Students can select up to 5 subjects among the 37 subjects (13 languages, 23 domain subjects, and a general test) for the exam, according to the CUET exam pattern. a student's aggregate marks can be secured depending on the number of subjects they choose, which should align with the course they wish to pursue at their preferred university. It's necessary to note that the aggregate marks for the same course may vary across different universities, as every CUET 2025 participating university has its own CUET 2025 UG subject requirements and eligibility criteria.
