IIT JAM 2025: Check Shift Timings, Reporting Time, and Exam Duration

IIT Delhi has announced that IIT JAM 2025 exams 2025-2026 academic session shall be held on February 2, 2025. The exams are to be conducted at more than 100 centres throughout the country. The JAM 2025 exam is going to be held in two shifts for seven subjects of master's degree programs. The Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) is an extremely competitive national-level test carried out by IIT Delhi for the academic session 2025-2026 that acts as a way for entrance to post-graduation programs in the scientific fields of Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, and Mathematical Statistics, taken on behalf of 22 IITs and other institutes granting JAM 2025 result-sharing institutes. The JAM 2025 will be conducted on February 2, 2025, in two shifts on a single day i.e., the morning shift and the afternoon shift. IIT JAM 2025 Exam Day Guidelines

Here are some important guidelines for IIT JAM 2025. The following points are the Dos and Don'ts to be followed on the day of the IIT JAM 2024 exam:

1. Reach the exam centre 90 minutes before the scheduled time for the test commencement.
2. You would be allowed to enter the examination hall 40 minutes before the test and after candidate registration and photo capture, you would be allowed to log in 20 minutes before the test and go through the instructions.
3. You would be required to take the seat allotted to your Roll Number and no other seat or centre, which would result in cancellation of candidature.
4. You will not be allowed to enter the test centre 30 minutes after the beginning of the examination.
5. You will not be allowed to leave the centre before the end of the examination.
6. You will have access to a virtual scientific calculator during the examination.
7. A scribble pad will be provided for rough work. Please write your name and registration number before using it and return it to the invigilator at the end of the exam. Further scribble pads can be obtained after returning the previous pad.

Things to be Carried at the IIT JAM 2025 Exam Centre

Here students must carry the following documents and items to the IIT JAM 2025 exam centre:

1. Coloured or laser printout of the IIT JAM 2024 admit card on A4 size paper.
2. Valid photo identity card issued by the Government of India from PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, etc.
3. Pen and pencil
4. Transparent water bottle
5. Pocket-sized hand sanitiser
6. Face mask which has to be worn by the candidate throughout the time spent at the exam centre.

Things Prohibited at the IIT JAM 2025 Exam Centre

Here is the list of the following items that are prohibited to carry into the exam centre:

1. Any kind of book, copies, or paper. 
2. Mobile phones, calculators, watches, or any other electronic or digital device.
3. Bags or wallets.

They further added that candidates would not find any place to keep their personal belongings in the exam centres, so the students would carry no personal items except the approved ones inside the exam hall.
