The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) has issued detailed guidelines for Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) candidates applying for JEE Advanced 2025. These guidelines emphasize strict adherence to rules and careful selection of options during the registration process.
These are the key guidelines for OCI/PIO Candidates which are listed below:
Mandatory Selection During Registration:
OCI/PIO applicants who received their cards before March 4, 2021, must choose a category during registration, OCI/PIO (I) or OCI/PIO (F).
Clause 15 of Information Brochure:
During the registration process, candidates are required to upload correct and complete documents so as not to violate Clause 15 of the brochure.
Unfair Means Penalty:
If an OCI/PIO candidate registers for JEE Advanced 2025 using both JEE Main credentials and as OCI/PIO (F) through direct registration, then such applications shall be dealt with as cases of unfair means, and candidature will be cancelled.

Direct Registration for JEE (Advanced):
Foreign national candidates and OCI/PIO (F) candidates are exempt from writing JEE Main 2025. They may directly apply for JEE Advanced 2025 by satisfying all other eligibility requirements.
