NEET PG 2024 Result Announcement Date

The NEET PG 2024 result will be released online for the candidates appearing for the exam. NEET PG Result 2024 has been declared ie. July 15th. Validity of the NEET PG Result 2024

The NEET PG 2024 result is valid for one academic session only and cannot be carried over to the next session. This means that the NEET PG 2024 result is valid only for the academic year 2024-25. To be admitted to the next session, the candidate must appear for the exam in the following year.

NEET PG Result: The Types

NBE releases two types of NEET PG results that enable admission to PG courses in medical colleges across the country. Medical colleges use NEET PG scores to allocate various seats to candidates. Two types of NEET PG results are explained below:

1. NEET PG results for 50% of AIQ seats

This NEET PG score category is for 50% of all India quota seats. NBE will publish the result in PDF format. The counselling for these places is done by the medical advisory committee. Admission to these seats is based on AIQ, marks obtained, electives, reservation criteria and availability of seats. The AIQ 50% cutoff for seats is the same as the percentile for the minimum requirements.

2. NEET PG result for State quota seats

This type of result is for admission to state quota seats. State institutions conduct counselling for admission to PG courses under the state quota category. No state conducts any other exam for MD/MS/PG degree seats.

1. All India 50% quota rank: It is a general merit list and shows the merit position of the candidate among all those who have appeared in the entrance exam irrespective of their category. The complete merit list contains the names of all the candidates who appeared in the examination.
2. All India 50% quota category rank: This is the category merit list and it shows the merit position of the candidate only among the candidates of that category (OBC/SC/ST) as per the candidate's choice. This list contains only the names of the candidates who have opted for reservation in this category.

While preparing the merit list, the authorities often find two candidates with the same rank in NEET PG results. NBE has set up a custody protocol for NEET PG 2024 results to help rank candidates and complete the process efficiently in such cases:

1. Candidates with more correct answers in the question paper will be ranked higher.
2. Candidates with less negative answers in the question paper will be ranked higher.
3. Advanced candidates will be ranked higher.
4. Candidates with higher total marks (percentage) in all MBBS professional exams will be ranked in the higher-ranking position.
