XAT is a renowned entrance test held at the Xavier Labour
Relation Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur. It is the requisite test for
admission to top B-schools such as XLRI, XIMB, IMT and more. With more
than 90,000 applicants appearing for XAT every year, it is essential to score a
good score to be shortlisted by these schools.
XAT 2023 is scheduled to take place in January. The result
will be announced after two weeks from the date of the exam. After taking
the test, applicants will naturally be anxious to analyze their performance and
determine their scores. To help you assess your performance more
effectively our instructors have created an estimate of the percentile of XAT2023.
Your score on XAT is based on three aspects three factors:
the number of test-takers on XAT 2023, the difficulty of the test, the amount
of questions you attempted and the accuracy of your answers. Based on
these parameters the predictor calculates your predicted percentile. It is
best to utilize the predictor after you've completed the test since you can
recall your number of times you attempted the exam and other variables more
precisely.
Here are the steps needed to ensure the correct use of XAT
Percentile predictor:
Other than an overall percentage, some schools take into
account your sectional percentiles in the XAT. It is possible to get a
amount of your actual percentile in XAT with the aid of a predictor. Thus,
feed all the relevant information into the predictor format. Based on your
calculated percentile, you'll be able determine the B-schools that you can
receive a phone call from.
Did you know: XLRI had only one campus (Jamshedpur) for
over 70 years. In 2020, the institute established another campus within
the the Delhi-NCR region.
Part 1 of the XAT test, you will be evaluated for your
capabilities regarding Verbal Ability, Logical/Analytical Reasoning
Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and the ability to make
decisions. Part 2 of the test tests your general knowledge (GK) as well as
essay writing abilities. It is important to note that part 2 of the exam
has not included in the final score. However, the scores you score in this
section will be considered in the admissions process.
When the XAT result is announced then you'll be prepared to
take on further selection rounds, such as GD, GE, WAT and PI. Alongside
the XAT percentile your profile and scores during the next round have a major
impact on the final decision. For XLRI, XAT scores/percentile are given a
weightage of 60 percent in the admissions criteria. The remainder of the
weightage goes to your experience in the workplace as well as your performance
on the GD-PI test and other related aspects.
