B.Sc in Emergency and Trauma Care Technology, sometimes known as Bachelor of Science in Emergency and Trauma Care Technology, is a Bioscience undergraduate study. The training covers disease processes and specialised bedside techniques, and technical abilities for dealing with critical/emergency/traumatic situations. After completing the course, students will have handled significant medical and surgical cases (including cardiac, neurological, polytrauma, and paediatric emergencies).

 

In an emergency, students pursuing a B.Sc in Emergency and Trauma Care Technology are educated to administer emergency medications and attach emergency medical equipment to patients. Students are taught how to connect life support systems to patients, such as infusion pumps and ventilators, to keep them stable until a doctor arrives. Students pursuing a B.Sc in Emergency and Trauma Care Technology are also prepared to transport critically ill patients in stable condition to hospitals in an emergency.

 

They become qualified in all aspects of emergency medical equipment and the technologies involved in life support systems in ambulances for ICCU and ICU patients. They may have undergone life-threatening procedures or diseases by the end of the course. They are taught CPR and First Aid skills for various types of patients and how to deal with patients' post-traumatic circumstances.
