Introduction to Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Integrated Electronics and Circuits

The Master of Technology in Electronics and Circuits is a postgraduate program in electronic engineering that focuses on studying and applying electrons and electricity. The course covers how to design, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and circuits, as well as an overview of troubleshooting techniques. The course focuses on modern solid-state devices and electrical circuits, such as diodes, metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOSFET) translators, and single-stage MOS amplifiers. The student gains knowledge on Analog Circuits and  Digital Circuits, Microelectronic Technology, VLSI Design, Signals and Systems, Control Systems, and electromagnetic communication during the course. Students can develop components, circuits, and electronic systems and their potential applications based on a multifunctional and multidisciplinary education or be preparing for doctorate studies.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech. in Integrated Electronics and Circuits

  • Students interested in pursuing an M.Tech in Electronics and Circuits must have finished a B.Tech./B.E. with a minimum of 60% in a comparable discipline.
  • M.Sc. candidates are preferred. Candidates with AMIE/grad. with a CGPA of 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60 percent marks in aggregate for General/OBC) can also apply.
  • For admission to some of the most prestigious universities and institutes, an entrance examination like GATE is held. Once the candidate qualifies, he/she may have to qualify for the interview session. Candidates are chosen based on their GATE and qualifying exam scores and their performance in the written examination and interview. Candidates qualifying for entrance examinations at the state or national level are also permissible.
  • Candidates with an AMIE/grad. IETE who meet the minimum eligibility criteria can be considered for admission as visiting students for 24 earned undergraduate courses as prescribed by the respective program. They must reapply for admission to the M.Tech. programme and take the GATE exam.
