The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat will conduct the GUJCET 2026 selection process. The GUJCET is an entrance examination for B.Tech, pharmacy, and other professional courses. After qualifying in the GUJCET examination, candidates shall participate in the centralized counseling process conducted by ACPC. The selection process includes online admission registration, document verification, and merit preparation based on their GUJCET examination results and qualifying exam performance. Eligible candidates can fill out choices of colleges and courses for a later date, followed by allotment after multiple rounds of seat allocation. Candidates will have to confirm their admissions by paying the fees and reporting to the institute to take admission. Reservation norms of Gujarat will be applicable (if applicable).

The GUJCET 2026 selection process includes numerous steps aimed at attaining fair admission to courses. Step one requires all candidates to qualify for the GUJCET 2026 examination conducted by GSEB. The criteria for selection in GUJCET 2026 are established by assigning a weightage of 40% to candidates' scores in the entrance exam and 60% for the qualifying examination (Class 12). The merit lists will be released by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) based on the formula for GUJCET score calculation, which consists of the board exam of Class 12, in physics, chemistry, and mathematics/bio with a weightage of 60%, and GUJCET 40%. The merit lists are prepared for admission into engineering, pharmacy, and all other professional courses for Gujarat colleges. Additionally, the candidates will need to meet the eligibility criteria for domicile and subject. Finally, seat allocation will depend on the ranks from the merit lists of the GUJCET results, the candidates' preferences filled out, and the availability of the particular seats in counselling.

Candidates who are applying for GUJCET 2026 must have all the essential documents prepared for various application processes, the exam, and later, the counselling process. Applicants will need a few documents during the registration process, including a Class 10 mark sheet, a Class 12 mark sheet, a valid photo ID proof such as an Aadhaar card, a school leaving certificate, and a recent passport-size photograph. Candidates from the reserved category will additionally need a caste certificate or PwD certificate with appropriate documentation for PwD. Candidates, when doing the counselling, will need to have a domicile certificate and an income certificate to waive off the tuition fee, if applicable. All documents will need to be original, with at least one photocopy of each document, so that any verification that needs to happen can happen. Having documents in place will expedite the admission process.
