JKCET 2025 Merit List

The authority will prepare the JKCET merit list 2025 based on class 12 marks for the open merit category and similarly for each reserved category separately. For allotment of seats to reserved category candidates in government engineering colleges, inter-se-merit will be considered within each reserved category. Suppose the number of candidates belonging to the reserved category is less than the number of seats available for that category. In that case, the resulting vacancies will be filled from among the candidates falling in the open merit category strictly in the order of the JKCET merit list 2025.

The JKCET Result link will be available on the official website, which will be activated by the authority. JKCET 2025 results will be uploaded online. The steps to download the JKCET exam result are given below.

1. Open the JKCET 2025 official website at jkbopee.gov.in.
2. Click on the JKCET 2025 result.
3. The JKCET result will be displayed on the screen.

How is the JKCET Result Prepared?

Calculation of Score: The JKCET score is calculated based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam. The marking scheme of the exam is used to calculate the scores of the candidates.

1. Candidates get 1 mark for each correct answer.
2. 0.25 marks are deducted for any wrong attempt.

Based on the marks of the candidates in the entrance exam, the JKCET merit list is prepared.

Preparation of Merit List: The board will prepare a list as per the mutual merit of the candidates in descending order of marks obtained by the candidates in JKCET. In this way the merit list will be prepared for the open merit category and similarly for each reserved category separately. If two or more candidates have secured the same marks in the entrance exam, the merit of such candidates will be determined by the method of tie-breaking. The merit list is used to allot seats in various participating colleges through the JKCET counselling process.

JKCET 2025 Passing Marks

The minimum mark to qualify for the JKCET 2025 exam is 10. Candidates who score less than 10 marks in the entrance exam will not be considered for admission.

2. Click on the result link.
3. Candidates have to provide their JKCET application number and password.
4. Click on 'Submit'.
5. JKCET 2025 results will appear on the screen in PDF format.
6. The result has to be downloaded and printed for future use. 

JKCET Result 2025 - Tie-Breaking Policy

If two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the entrance examination, the inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined taking into account the following:

1. Marks obtained in Mathematics part of JKCET.
2. Marks obtained in the Physics part of JKCET are equal to marks obtained in the Mathematics part.
3. Marks obtained in Chemistry part of JKCET If marks obtained in Mathematics and Physics parts are equal.
4. If marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry parts are equal, then candidates with higher age will be placed higher in the JKCET Merit List 2025.

After JKCET Result

Candidates who qualify for JKCET can submit online/offline preference forms for JKCET counselling. The online/offline preference form enables the candidate to fill in preferences for various subjects/institutions for allocation of seats for admission to BE/BTech engineering courses in government and private colleges of the Union Territory of J&K/Ladakh. JKCET counselling will have 2 rounds and a mop-up round. A final, special counselling round may be conducted if required.
