Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has conduct state-level entrance examination every year, more popularly referred to as the JKCET exam. Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) exam is organised for the aspirants working hard for admission to the BE/B.Tech course. Candidates who are successful in the JKCET 2026 examination will be offered admission to the government and private institutions of Jammu and Kashmir to study their desired course. All the shortlisted candidates have the freedom to opt for any of the BE/BTech courses such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, etc.
Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted in pencil and paper format. It is conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Examinations (JKOBPEE) to fill the undergraduate engineering seats in various government and private institutions in J&K. The exam is taken by the candidates who have passed or appeared for the 10+2 examinations in the current year, as in the case of JKCET. The entrance exam consists of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry based on 10+2 level questions. The allotment of seats in different institutes is based on the JKCET 2026 scores, the quota system and preferences given by the candidates. The JKBOPEE (Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination) has issued an official notification about the JKCET 2026 Exam date. According to JKCET 2026, it is likely to be held in April 2026. The examination will be conducted in offline pen and paper mode. All the registered candidates who have enrolled successfully for JKCET 2026 are able to download their JKCET 2026 Admit cards from the official website www.jkbopee.gov.in.

The candidates who are willing to take the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test need to fill out the application form. The eligible candidates alone should fill out the application form because the non-eligible ones are subject to rejection. It is advisable to read the instructions carefully before filling out the application form. The candidature of candidates who provide wrong/false information in the process of online submission of the application form shall be subject to cancellation without any notice to such candidates.
JKCET 2026 Application Fee to be submitted by all the applicants is Rs. 1200. The fee is to be paid in online mode only. For online payment, gateways like credit cards, debit cards, and Net Banking can be used for the transaction. The final registration procedure will only be complete after successful payment of the JKCET Application Fee. The fee once paid will not be refunded under any conditions.
Candidates have to complete the JKCET 2026 Application form very carefully. The examination board will not have editing facilities available for the candidates. Students can fill out the application form by following the steps provided below in an easy manner:
Step 1: Visit the official website at www.jkbopee.gov.in or click on the link given above.
Step 2: On the Homepage, click on the “Click here to fill application” Link.
Step 3: Fill in all the required details, such as name, email address, and mobile number, and generate a password.
Step 4: On successful registration, the application number will be sent to the candidate’s registered email address and mobile number.
Step 5: Candidates can now proceed to fill out the JKCET Application form. Fill in the details such as personal. academic and communication details.
Step 6: After filling out the application form, candidates will be directed to the payment window.
Step 7: Choose your preferred payment gateway and make the payment of Rs. 1200.
Step 8: Only after successful payment, candidates will be asked to upload the documents.
Step 9: Upload the required documents, such as a photograph, signature, and thumb impression, along with other certificates in the specified format.
Step 10: Lastly, verify all the details entered and submit the JKCET 2026 Application Form. Candidates must also take a printout of the application form for future reference.
The JKCET 2026 exam pattern is decided by the exam conducting board. The examination will be in offline (pen-paper) mode. The candidates who appear will be provided with 3 hours to solve the paper, and the language will be English. JKCET 2026 exam will have a total of 180 MCQ questions. The paper will be segregated into 3 sections with 60 questions in each section.

JKCET Admit Card 2026 will be released in the fourth week of May 2026. It will be released through online mode. Students should carefully check the details mentioned in the admit card. If they find any mistakes, they should inform the authorities. The hall ticket will be available only for the registered candidates.
JKCET 2026 Admit Card will be a very important document to sit in the examination hall. It will include details like the name of the applicant, the date of examination, the signature, the photograph, important instructions, etc. Candidates should keep their admit card in a safe place till the admission procedure is over.

After the conclusion of JKCET answer key will be released on the BOPEE website in the evening of the day of conduct of the test or by noon of the next day. The JKCET answer key will be available on the website for three days, so that a candidate who finds any discrepancy between the question paper and the JKCET answer key can file a grievance along with the relevant proof from the standard textbook within three working days of the completion of the test.
To challenge the JKCET 2026 answer key, candidates must visit the BOPEE office in Srinagar or Jammu, accompanied by a payment receipt of INR 1000 per grievance per document. The grievance fee is to be paid at the POS terminal of the J&K BOPEE office in Jammu/Srinagar.
JKCET Final Answer Key 2026: The grievances will be consolidated and sent to the experts whose opinions will be final. The revised key, if any, will be posted on the BOPEE website, and no complaints will be accepted thereafter.
The JKCET 2026 exam result is published on the website jkbopee.gov.in. Candidates can check the result using their respective login details. Also, candidates who are not satisfied with their marks in the examination can apply for re-aggregation of marks. Aggregation of marks is permitted on a written application accompanied by a receipt of payment of INR 1000/- at the POS terminal of J&K BOPEE Srinagar/Jammu. The application is accepted within 3 (three) days of the declaration of the result. Any application received after this date will not be entertained.
JKCET 2026 Passing Marks: The minimum passing marks for the JKCET 2026 examination are 10. A candidate who has secured less than 10 marks in the entrance test will not be considered for admission.

The JKCET 2026 cut-off list will be released online on the authority's website. It will be a minimum qualifying mark that candidates must obtain to be eligible for the upcoming admission procedure. The authority will not send the cut-off list to candidates individually.
It will be mandatory for students to obtain a minimum cut-off mark to participate in the counselling procedure. The authority will prepare the JKCET cut-off marks based on various factors such as availability of seats, the previous year's cut-off mark, difficulty level of the exam, etc.

Candidates who qualify in JKCET can submit the online/offline preference forms for JKCET counselling. The online/offline preference form allows a candidate to fill in preferences for various disciplines/institutions for allotment of seats for admission in BE/BTech Engineering courses in Public and Private Universities of the UT of J&K/Ladakh. JKCET counselling will have 2 rounds and a mop-up round. A final round of special JKCET 2026 counselling may be conducted if required.
