The eligibility criteria will provide details about nationality, minimum educational qualification and age limit to apply for MET 2026. To appear for the Manipal entrance exam, a student must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination. MET Eligibility Criteria 2026
AIMA is the examining authority that establishes the admission criteria for the MAT. All candidates are advised to read all the conditions carefully before submitting their application. The admission requirements for the MAT 2025 standardised exam are detailed below:
The MAT 2026 Registration for the special July session opened on June 23, 2026. Candidates must complete all information carefully and upload a scanned photo and signature in the specified format.
MAT 2026 Qualification Criteria:
- Qualifying Examination: The minimum requirement to sit for the examination is graduation. Candidates may graduate from a recognized university in any program, such as a Bachelor's degree, Bachelor of Science degree, Bachelor of Commerce degree, Bachelor of Technology degree, etc.
- Applicants: Candidates in their final year of their degree may also apply for the MAT 2025.
MET 2026 Age Criteria
- There is no age limit for the MAT 2025 exam. According to AIMA regulations, any candidate can take the exam, regardless of age.
- Candidates without work experience are also welcome to take the exam.
MAT 2026 Number of Attempts:
- Candidates may take the MAT 2026 exam as many times as possible. There is no limit to the number of attempts, but please try to pass the exam only on the first attempt.
- The MAT PBT and CBT exams are scheduled four times a year; candidates may take all four exams if they are not satisfied with their scores.

MET 2026 Academic Qualifications
Students must have this given Qualification before applying for MET exam
For Undergraduate Programmes:
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Candidates appearing for 10+2 or equivalent examination in the current year are also eligible to apply.
For Postgraduate Programmes:
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Candidates appearing for the final year examination of their Bachelor’s degree in the current year are also eligible to apply.
MET 2026 Subject-wise Eligibility
For undergraduate programs:
- B.Tech: Candidates must have studied Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
- B.Pharma: Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
- Other Programmes: Candidates must have studied relevant subjects in 10+2 or equivalent examinations as specified by the university.
For postgraduate programs:
Candidates must have studied relevant subjects in the graduation degree specified by the university.
Nationality
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen or Non-Resident Indian (NRI) or Foreign national.
MAT 2026 Application Form
The MET exam application form was released on June 23, 2025, for the July special session. The form is available online. Candidates are advised to carefully complete all information, including education, personal details, communication details, etc.
Candidates must attach documents with a photograph and signature in the prescribed format. The MET application form for the CBT exam can be completed until July 14, 2025. Candidates must also indicate their exam options (CBT and PBT) when completing the form.
The MET application fee for PBT or CBT is Rs 2,200, and for PBT and CBT, it is Rs 3,800. Payment can be made online with a debit or credit card or through online banking.
