Sometimes two or more candidates score the same marks in the exam. This creates doubts about their ranks in such exams. To avoid any such confusion, MHT CET officials have already decided the procedure to be followed to break the tie for MHT CET 2026 result. Below is the procedure to deal with the tie after MHT CET 2026 result:
To calculate the percentile score for MHT CET 2026 results, the officials will modify a normalization process to declare the ranks of the candidates. The MHT CET score will be declared as a percentile ranging from 0 to 100. The MHT CET 2026 topper will get a percentile of 100. The marks obtained between the highest and lowest scores will also be converted to the appropriate percentile. Candidates with lower scores get a percentile score of 0.
The percentile scores of MHT CET candidates are calculated up to five decimal places. Candidates may check the formula to be followed by authorities:
MHT CET Percentile Score = 100 * (Number of candidates in the exam with normalized marks ≤ the candidate) ÷ Total number of candidates in the exam.
The CET cell will release the MHT CET 2026 merit list on the official website. Candidates will be able to download the MHT CET merit list using their required credentials. If candidates are not satisfied with their marks, the officials will allow candidates to register their complaints regarding the preliminary merit list MHT CET 2026. Next, the officials will release the final CET merit list 2026 after considering all the complaints.
