The National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology conducts the Joint Entrance Exam to shortlist aspirants for admission in the courses BSc hospitality and hotel administration. Candidates shall be eligible to apply if he/she is appearing or have passed class 12 examinations or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects as per the NCHMCT JEE 2025 eligibility criteria. Also, they have to be within the age range that has been set by the examination authority in the eligibility for NCHMCT jee.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of NCHMCT, will be releasing the updated NCHM JEE 2025 eligibility criteria. The aspirants can check this article to get information about the eligibility criteria for BSc HA courses that are available at NCHCM JEE. The candidates appearing for their 10+2 or equivalent examination are also NCHMCT JEE Eligibility Criteria to appear at provisionally. However, admissions offered on a provisional basis will stand cancelled in case the candidate does not submit documentary proof of clearing the qualifying examination at the time of counselling under NCHMCT JEE.

Age Limit:

  1. Upper age limit for General, General (EWS) and OBC categories - 25 years as of July 01, 2025, ie, candidates born on or after July 01, 1996, are eligible
  2. SC, ST candidates and Physically challenged candidates - 25 years as of July 01, 2025, ie, candidates born on or after July 01, 1994, are eligible

Qualifications:

  1. Must have passed or must be appearing in 10+2.
  2. English must be a compulsory subject.

Qualifying Exam

List of qualifying exams:

  1. Any Public School / Board / University Examination in India or in a foreign country should be recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) / Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  2. Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
  3. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognised university.
  4. General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

Reservation of Seats

  1. Other Backward Classes- Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) - 27%
  2. Scheduled Caste (SC) - 15%
  3. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) - 10%
  4. Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 7.5%
  5. Physically Handicapped/ Disabled (Pwd) - 5% in each category
  6. Kashmiri Migrant (KM) - One seat in each state and central government-affiliated IHM

NCHMCT JEE Age Limit

Candidates must have age limits according to the official notification related to NCHMCT JEE Recruitment 2025. Concessions in age are there for specific categories also; please refer to the official notification for details.

  1. Minimum age limit:18 years
  2. Maximum age limit:25 years

Eligible Candidates seeking for NCHMCT JEE Recruitments- Male General and OBC candidates shall be born after 1st July 1997. SC and ST candidates who intend to apply for NCHMCT JEE Recruitments should have been born after 1st July 1994.

NCHMCT JEE Educational Qualification

All applicants should meet the minimum qualification for the post and the other requirements as set in the official announcement. The candidate must ensure that they meet the basic requirements for NCHMCT JEE Recruitment 2025.

Those applicants who have met the following criteria are eligible for NCHMCT JEE Recruitment 2025:

  1. Applicants must have passed an intermediate examination conducted by a known board or university.
  2. They must have passed in the English (core/functional/elective) subject in the qualifying admission test.
  3. Prospective candidates who are in the final year can also apply provisionally. Such students are required to obtain proof of passing by the 30th of September 2025 during the counselling/admission process.

Documents Required to Claim Reservation

The candidates shall submit the valid category certificate or PwD certificate, as applicable. Further, the original certificates shall be produced for verification at the time of admission.

NCHMCT JEE Physical Fitness

All qualified candidates will have to submit a Physical Fitness Certificate of being able to do the practical classes as required in the course, from a Registered Medical Practitioner. This certificate is required to be submitted at the time of admission.
