The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Examination is the national-level entrance exam one needs to clear for admission to undergraduate programs in hospitality and hotel management. The conducting bodies are the NTA or National Testing Agency, thus providing access to the doorsteps of esteemed institutes like the Institutes of Hotel Management or IHMs and other affiliated colleges.

The NCHMCT JEE 2026 selection process consists of a computer-based exam, followed by counselling, seat allotment and document verification. To be eligible for NCHMCT JEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria, candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent test from an approved educational body. English must be one of the core subjects.
The application form for NCHMCT JEE 2026 will be available online, and candidates must submit only one application form to prevent rejection. The application process can be completed in a single session or multiple steps, but candidates are advised to retain a printed copy of the filled application form.
To apply for the NCHMCT JEE 2026 exam, candidates need to pay the application fee online. The application fee is divided into several categories, including General (UR)/OBC-(NCL) as per the Central List, General, Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST)/PWD, and Transgender.
The NCHMCT JEE 2026 exam pattern consists of a single paper with 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into five sections: Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language, and Aptitude for Service Sector. The NCHMCT JEE 2026 marking scheme is as follows: each correct answer earns four marks, while each incorrect answer leads to a deduction of one mark. Unattempted questions will not be awarded any marks.
In case of a tie, the ranking will be decided based on the marks obtained in the English component of JEE, followed by the marks obtained in the Service Aptitude Component of NCHMCT JEE. If there is still a tie, the older candidate will be ranked higher.
The NCHMCT JEE 2026 syllabus covers five sections: Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language, and Aptitude for Service Sector. Candidates must prepare thoroughly for each section to score well in the exam.
