GATE 2025 Exam Guidelines for Feb 15 & 16: Dates, Admit Card, and More

IIT Roorkee will schedule the GATE 2025 exam for different test papers on February 15 and 16, 2025. The exam will be conducted in two shifts - Forenoon (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). Candidates appearing for the exam must know the GATE exam day instructions and schedule to avoid hassle. Here's a checklist for GATE 2025 exam day.

The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, has released the GATE 2025 branch-wise exam dates on its official website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Registered candidates must stay alert regarding the GATE 2025 exam schedule before reaching the GATE exam centre. Students can check below for the exam schedule:

GATE 2025 Admit Card: Steps to Download

The admit card is an essential document, and candidates should carry it while appearing for the exam. The GATE 2025 hall ticket is available on the GOAPS portal, and one can download it by following these steps -

1. Visit the GATE GOAPS portal - gate2025.iitr.ac.in
2. Click on the admit card link/login option.
3. Enter your GATE enrollment ID and password.
4. Click on the option to download the admit card.
5. The hall ticket will appear on the screen.
6. Check all the details and download the GATE 2025 admit card.

GATE 2025 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates appearing for the exam are required to follow all the GATE 2025 exam day instructions in the hall ticket, which are as follows -

1. Candidates are required to carry a hard copy of the GATE admit card to the exam centre along with a valid ID proof, such as an Aadhaar card/Voter ID/Passport, etc.
2. Candidates must arrive at the GATE exam centre at least 90 minutes before the start of the exam.
3. Electronic devices including mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, pagers, Bluetooth devices, etc., are not allowed within the examination centre.
4. Paper and food items, such as sheets, rough papers, snacks, etc., are not allowed in the exam hall.
5. Candidates can carry their pen and pencil to the exam centre with a transparent water bottle.
6. A scribble pad will be given inside the exam hall to do the rough work. Candidates are requested to write down their registration number and name on the sheet before using the sheet. The scribble pad needs to be returned to the invigilator after completing the exam.
7. PwD candidates will be provided with one hour of compensatory time to complete their examination.

GATE is a national-level entrance exam done for MTech and direct PhD admissions to numerous IITs, IIITs, IITs, GFTIs, etc. After the conduction of GATE 2025, IIT Roorkee will give out the correct answer key on which one can challenge the probable scores for them. The results scheduled for GATE 2025 are March 19, 2025.
