JEE Main 2025: NTA to Announce Exam Dates & Registration Link Soon

NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 exam date and registration will be released soon at any time. The National Test Agency (NTA) recently updated the JEE Main 2025 official website. JEE Mains registration 2025 is expected to commence on November 1 while JEE Main 2025 session 1 examination is possible to be conducted in January, based on past trends.

The NTA has informed that registration for JEE Main 2025 will begin "in due course". Additionally, it announced the removal of multiple-choice questions from Section B, which were originally introduced as a temporary measure during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The NTA has released a notification detailing the changes in the JEE exam pattern. For JEE Mains 2025, the exam will revert to the pre-Covid-19 format. In the revised pattern, Section B of Paper 1 will no longer have alternative questions. Each subject has 5 compulsory questions that students must answer all of them. Also, there are no optional questions in the maths section for Papers 2A and 2B.

JEE Main 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the JEE Main eligibility criteria prescribed by NTA to appear for the exam here. As per previous years, to appear for the JEE 2025 exam, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their class 12th (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Those who are currently pursuing class 12th can also apply if they are expected to meet this requirement at the time of admission.
  2. Age Limit: There is generally no upper age limit for JEE Mains; however, some participating institutes may have specific age requirements. Candidates should verify the guidelines provided by the institutes they wish to apply to.
  3. Number of Attempts: Students can attempt JEE Mains a maximum of three times in consecutive years. This flexibility provides candidates with more opportunities to improve their scores.
  4. Percentage Criteria: For admission to IITs, NITs and other participating institutes, candidates are generally required to secure a minimum percentage in their Class 12 exams, which is often 75% for general category students. This criterion may be relaxed for SC/ST candidates. 5. Nationality: Indian citizens, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs and foreign nationals are eligible to appear for this exam.

JEE Main 2025 notification provides important information about the exam schedule including the registration process, admission criteria, application fee, marks scheme and exam date information about documents needed for registration and filling out the registration form and instructions for submitting photos and signatures.
