Karnataka NMMS 2024 is scheduled for December 8, 2024, which was re-scheduled for the exam which will be now held on January 5, 2025. The official notice came stating that changes should reach the districts, talukas, and schools to ensure effective public dissemination of the information to students so that all would be adequately prepared by rescheduling the date.
The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has postponed the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) 2024 exam due to unavoidable circumstances. Earlier it was scheduled for December 8, 2024, but now the changes have been declared to conduct the exam on January 5, 2025. According to the notice, this information should be made available to districts, talukas, and schools while disseminating this change so the students are prepared for the rescheduled date.
Details of the Exam Structure and Schedule
The Karnataka NMMS 2024 exam will be conducted in two papers: Paper 1, the MAT, and Paper 2, the SAT. Both these papers are scheduled to be held on January 5, 2025. Paper 1 is scheduled from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM; this will be a 90-minute test with an additional 30 minutes for students with disabilities. Paper 2 will be between 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM in duration, 90 minutes long as well, and with the same overtime provision for students with disabilities.
For the Karnataka NMMS 2024, the minimum passing marks are set for MAT as well as SAT. The qualifying marks vary as per category:
The students who qualify successfully in the Karnataka NMMS exam should get an annual scholarship of INR 12,000 which will be given for the duration of Class 9 onwards.
The official notice on the KSEEB website also encourages schools to inform students and ensures their adequate preparation for the new date of the exam. This change gives great time to these candidates to complete their preparations and bring out the best possible results in the exam.
