The exam pattern of NEET 2025 has been changed. It has been reversed to the pattern and structure that were followed in the pre-COVID era. Optional questions have been removed. The number of questions has been reduced from 200 to 180 instead. The duration of NEET 2025 has also been reduced to 180 minutes or three hours from 200 minutes.
Announcing the same, NTA has said, "Applicants are hereby informed that the pattern of question paper and time and duration of examination will be as before COVID format. where there won't be Section B anymore.
So, therefore, there'll be a total of 180 compulsory questions and these will include 45 in Physics and 45 in Chemistry along with 90 in Biology, the candidates will be attempting these compulsory questions in 180 minutes thereby killing off any idea of optional questions and extra time introduced due to COVID.
NTA clarified that all 180 questions on the NEET 2025 question paper are compulsory. The marking scheme of NEET 2025 will be the same as in the previous years, four marks for a correct answer and one mark for a wrong answer. The candidates will get about one minute to answer each question.

The official NEET 2025 notification, application form and information bulletin will be released soon. The NTA had declared the final NEET 2025 syllabus recently, which will be the same as last year. The NEET 2025 exam will held in the paper-pencil mode in a single day and shift.
