NTA to Discontinue Recruitment Exam Conduct from Next Session

National Testing Agency will stop conducting all recruitment exams from the next session, said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The authorities will carry on higher education entrance exams only said Pradhan. Next year, the NTA will be reconstituted. As a part of the suggestions coming from the expert committee, many changes will be made in the exam pattern and other parameters.

NTA 2025 Exam Updates

The National Testing Agency will continue conducting recruitment exams from the next session. The authorities will focus on conducting higher education exams said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The expert committee for NTA reforms suggests many other recommendations. The move came after many reports of paper leaks earlier this year including many loopholes in the system.

The minister added that NTA will take responsibility for all higher education exams. NTA will conduct no recruitment exam. In addition, the recommendations include the shifting of the NEET UG examination from the pen-and-paper mode to a computer-based examination. This comes following reports of NEET paper leakage and questions regarding the credibility of National Testing Agency. The proposal to switch the exam from offline to online has also been discussed with the Health Ministry. Pradhan mentioned that the CUET UG exam will be done annually with fresh changes introduced this year. NTA has reduced the number of subject domains from 29 to 23.

NTA has also reduced the number of subjects from 63 to 37 this year. The minister also spoke about the new posts in NTA for smooth functioning. The idea is to create a safe ecosystem for the exam conducted by NTA.

The National Testing Agency has already completed the registration process for JEE Main 2025 for phase 1. Applicants who have applied for the examination will be issued a JEE Main 2025 admit card tentatively in the last week of January. The date of NEET 2025 is likely to be published in January. Applicants must keep their eye on the NTA official website 2025 to get every important update regarding the event.
