With an aim to include a new line of educational discipline in their educational courses, the Amity University established Amity Institute of Food Technology in the year 2006 at Noida in Uttar Pradesh. The Institute had originally sought an approval for its Bachelor’s course in 2007 – 2008.

Established in 2006, Food Technology (Food Tech.) is the application of food science to the selection, preservation, processing and packaging of rawproduce or the fee added, safe, nutritious and healthful meals healthy for distribution and consumption.
