A Skill Development Department is planned and set up at Anantha Lakshmi Institute of Technology and Science, exclusively for the first-of-its-kind engineering colleges. The ALTS Skill Development Department has been planned and set up to meet the growing demand for skilled manpower in India in various sectors and reduce the existing gap between skills demand and supply.

The competency development department of ALTS is led by Dr. M. Surendra Naidu, who has 15 years of industry experience and is currently working as the Director of Skill Development and Placement at ALTS.
