Annai Vailankanni College of Engineering (AVCE) is a private, self-financing, co-educational Engineering College established in the year 2008 by Dr. D. Peter Jesudhas. It is located near Pothaiyadi Salai, Kanyakumari, the southernmost town in India. AVCE is about 8 Km from the Kanyakumari Railway Station and 15 Km from the Nagercoil junction. AVCE is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi & has been affiliated with ANNA University, Chennai since 2008. The college is surrounded by an array of green-clad, sky-scraping mountains of the Western Ghats. The weather is cool and breezy with clouds drifting high over the mountains giving frequent drizzles. The main feature of the college comprises world-class infrastructure with experienced and talented faculties, excellent pass percentages, good placement records, and society-oriented products/projects developed by the students.

The Central Library of AVCE, situated on the third floor of the Main building, is built to International standards. Equipped with the necessary safety systems, the library has collections of Books, Journals & other resources in Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Humanities, and Social Sciences. The collection includes books, National and International Magazines, Reference Books, and Videos. The Central Library subscribes to national and international journals.

Sports:

Physical education, provided at AVCE encourages the students to develop their knowledge, understanding, confidence, and skills. Transport:

A full-fledged transport department functions in the college to provide transportation to students and staff from various places. This service is offered to ensure hassle-free and safe transportation. The buses will reach the campus before 8.20 am and will depart from the college at 4 pm. However, for the benefit of the students attending special classes, a bus will depart at 5.30 pm.

Training:

The placement & Training Department undertakes the following activities to achieve the desired results and targets. Placement of students in reputed industries through campus recruitments, pooled campus, and off-campus recruitments.Inplant training for students in industries during a vacation through industrial experts.

Arranging Internships in Industries for pre-final year students. The project works for final-year students in industries. A Technical Club, to discuss the latest innovations in the field of Engineering.
