Facilities and Infrastructure

The hostels at AIET are gender-segregated with separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Care is taken to cater to the student’s immediate requirements for a comfortable stay with basic facilities. The campus services like the library and internet are made available to hostel inmates beyond college hours. The boy’s hostel can accommodate 700 students at a time whereas the girl’s hostel can 200. But accommodations are given on basis of first cum first served applications. AIET hostels are just another home for the students. As a 24 x 7 campus, the hostel gives the comfort and feel of being with one’s family. 24-hour security service is provided to all.

Library has an advisory committee in the name of the library committee. As the epicentre of learning on the campus, the library acts as a facilitator to the teaching-learning process and provides access to library databases, articles from current print journals, E-resource access facility to International and National Journals and strengthens the collection of the departmental libraries. The Library has a reading room for students and an internet facility for browsing is available to students and faculty members.

For security and added comfort, buses are provided for the transport of students, faculty & staff. The routes and pickup points are laid out with the timing of pick-up indicated for various points. In addition to the transportation provided by us, comfortable city buses ‘MO BUS’ under the CRUT (Capital Region Urban Transport) system of the State Govt. also ply at short intervals regularly which touch the institute campus.

The college has a capacious canteen facility on the college premises and is run by college management. A variety of quality veg & non-veg food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college at subsidized rates. A monthly menu is decided by a committee comprising of boarders of hostels, staff members and management.

Sports & games and other extra-curricular activities, part of life are always encouraged by the Institution. The Institution has its own Physical Education Teacher who personally takes care of students for training and coaching the students in various sports and games. However, the responsibility of promoting such sports, games and extracurricular activities is assigned among the faculty members.
