B. Borooah College, Guwahati - Facilities

B. Borooah College has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from B. Borooah College, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of the B. Borooah College are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.

Hostel: 

The current two-story B. Borooah College Hostel was built in 1964 with funds from the University Grant Commission, the Assam Government, and the College itself. Since then, the dormitory has been an important meeting place for students from different parts of the region who are eager to learn. Two stories RCC The building consists of a total of 31 rooms, which are occupied by 122 residents from secondary, master, and master schools. The hostel has a management committee, composed of a superintendent and members of the university faculty, which is chaired by the director. Two final-year supervisors are deployed as ground-floor and first-floor supervisors to assist the dormitory director. Each year a catering committee is appointed to oversee the canteen and all internal affairs of the inn. 

Canteen: 

The B. Borooah College Canteen operates efficiently and provides subsidized dining primarily for students and other college communities. The canteen has been in operation since April 6, 2012. The canteen was run by Dr. Tabu Ram Taid, President of the College Board. 

Gymnasium: 

"A Sound Mind in a Sound Body". With this in mind, the college offers all kinds of incentives and opportunities for students to develop their athletic ability. Undergraduate students have demonstrated their skills in sports such as cricket, soccer, badminton, basketball, boxing, tennis, judo, bodybuilding, and table tennis at the state and national levels.  The institute has a well-equipped gymnasium with modern and sophisticated equipment. This was inaugurated on March 18, 2013, by former "Monsieur Monde" Mahadeb Deka.

Computer Center: 

A computer center is built on the college campus. The main objective of the center is to provide the students of the college with basic knowledge of computer science and certification courses on the fundamentals of computer science and computer languages.  Since February 2015, the center has been offering two-month certification courses on the following topics. 

Faculty: 

Borooah College offers quality education with highly dedicated and highly qualified faculty with years of industry experience. The College has a total of 78 faculties, including 38 from the Arts Department and 40 from the Science Department, along with the Principal, Dr. Satyendra Nath Barman. Among the 78 teaching members are professors, assistant professors, and lecturers as well as holders of degrees such as a doctorate, postgraduate study, postgraduate double diploma, and holders of the title M.Phil.
