BIT Approved by AICTE: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was established in November 1945 as a national-level apex advisory body to conduct a comprehensive survey of the available facilities for technical education and promote development in a coordinated and integrated manner across the country. The AICTE Act was formulated to establish the council, intending to facilitate proper planning and coordinated development of the technical education system throughout India. Its objectives include promoting qualitative improvements in technical education alongside planned quantitative growth, as well as regulating and maintaining norms and standards within the technical education system and related matters.

BIT Affiliated with DBATU: Established under the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University Act No. XXII of 1989 by the Government of Maharashtra, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University initially operated as a Unitary University. However, in 2016, the Government converted it into an Affiliating Technological University through Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University Act No. XXIX of 2014, expanding its jurisdiction to encompass the entire state of Maharashtra. Currently, the University affiliates with 272 institutes, catering to a total student population of 1,36,534.

Ballarpur Institute Of Technology (BIT), Chandrapur admission process requires applicants to complete an online submission of their applications. For undergraduate courses, candidates are required to have successfully passed their class 12th examinations. Those holding an undergraduate degree are eligible to apply for postgraduate courses at BIT. Admission to the B.Tech program is determined by candidates' ranks in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET). For M.Tech courses, applicants must possess a valid score from the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). MBA and MCA admissions are based on a merit list issued by the institute, taking into account candidates' scores in their qualifying degree examinations.BIT, Chandrapur offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses in the disciplines of Engineering and Technology, Management, and Computer Application. 

Admission for B.Tech at BIT Chandrapur for the year 2024 is now open. The institute provides B.Tech programs across 7 specializations. To be eligible, applicants are required to have completed their HSC with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject as one of the optional subjects. Additionally, candidates holding a Diploma in Engineering can also apply, provided they have secured a minimum of 50% marks. BIT Chandrapur offers merit scholarships to students with outstanding academic records. The top ten applicants with CET scores exceeding 130 (120 for girls) are eligible for a 25% scholarship towards their tuition fees, providing recognition and support for their academic achievements.

In addition to merit-based scholarships, BIT Chandrapur also recognizes and supports students with exceptional talents. Regardless of their academic scores, students demonstrating special talents are eligible to receive financial assistance covering up to 75% of their tuition fees.
