About BPIT Delhi

BPIT Delhi was set up in 2007, in New Delhi. Bhartiya Brahmin Charitable Trust laid the foundation for the institution. The Institute is spread over an area of about 5.7 acres. The BPIT Delhi has 6 departments- Applied Sciences, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and a School of Business Administration.

Facilities and Infrastructure of BPIT Delhi

The campus is spread over an area of 5.7 acres. The campus has 4 story building of an academic and office complex with lifts. The institute has a great infrastructure with a Wi-Fi facility (optical fiber hyperlink of two hundred Mbps capacity) and is ready with modern centers including lecture halls with multimedia, laboratories with cutting-edge instruments, well-furnished seminar halls, and a girls’ hostel. Recently JIO, at the persuasion of Management, has set up additional infrastructure in our complex to enhance the net connectivity within our complex to facilitate the students. The campus has a team of 102 faculty members.

Residential Accommodation:

The institute has a well-furnished hostel for students. The hostel has sixty-four double occupancy rooms with all modern amenities. The hostel provides many facilities like a study room, indoor or outdoor game, newspaper,24*7 net, and 24*7 hostel warden. They also provide mess facilities with hygienic food.

Library:

The campus has a big and air-conditioned library for students and faculty. The library has many book 45000+ books on all the subject fields, ICT-based resources to its uses, such as e-books, e-journals, and databases. The Library system uses LIBWARE 3.0.3 to manage daily routine activities. It makes use of RFID and Barcode systems for inventory and security of library materials, International and National Journals – 55 (IEEE Journals, IETE, etc), No. of Books in Book Bank – 28076, etc.

Auditorium:

The campus has 3 completely air-conditioned and well-equipped Conference/Seminar Halls with present-day audio-visual facilities for numerous activities like seminars, workshops management improvement/government improvement programs, pre-placement talks, etc.

Labs:

The campus has well-equipped with modern labs lab with modern gadgets and instruments. and they have many labs R & D Laboratory, E-Yantra Robotics And Embedded Systems Lab, R & D Laboratory (EEE), Information Technology Lab, and many more.

Medical Facilities:

The campus has well-equipped with basic health facilities. The campus has well stocked with simple medicines, a Blood Pressure Monitor, a Thermometer, ASD types of equipment, and a bed for the patient. The institute has a house medical assistance facility for the stakeholders i.e. BPIT staff, faculty individuals, and students. A physician visits the college on an everyday basis. In case of emergency, the patient is transferred to Brahma Shakti Hospital in Budha Vihar or Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Hospital close to Rithala Metro Station. A wheelchair and a vehicle (for an ambulance) also are to be had for medical emergencies.

Sports:

The campus has provided the opportunity to participate individually or in mass with a team in the sports program. The campus encourages the students and provides them with opportunities to participate in different intercollege competitions at zonal and national levels.

Cafe/Mess Facility:

The campus has a spacious canteen and hygienic and sanitary situations and serves meals, snacks, and beverages at concessional rates. The canteen is located in the center of the campus. The Institute has an intercom facility and the canteen is likewise well-linked with all of the rooms via the same. There is separate seating for school and personnel individuals having a capability of 20 individuals the seating ability of the place reserved for college students is around 60 students.

BPIT Delhi offers scholarships and financial assistance to deserving students. The institute provides scholarships under the Merit-Cum-Means Financial Assistance Scheme for the Academic Year 2021-22. The scheme is open to students pursuing higher education in state universities of Delhi.

Eligibility criteria for the scholarship scheme are based on the gross annual family income of the student from all sources and the qualifying aggregate percentage of marks. The scheme provides different percentages of financial assistance based on these criteria.
