Chadalawada Ramanamma Engineering College (CREC) was founded in the year 2004 by Dr Chadalawada Krishna Murthy, a great visionary, philanthropist, and successful entrepreneur Dr Chadalawada Krishnamurthy, born on May 1, 1948, in a small village of Chennur in Nellore District, AP. After graduation, he continued the business with his brothers. He is a social activist and was attracted to politics in the year 1973 to serve the people of his hometown, elected President of the Youth Congress (1976), elected Sarpanch (1981) by Major Panchayath, Naidupet. AP State Government awarded him BEST SARPANCH in 1983, entered state politics and contested the MP for Srikalahasti Assembly constituency (1994), served as a Member of Parliament for Tirupati Assembly Constituency (1999), Chairman of the Board of Trustees of TTD (24 April 2015) of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.

Residential Accommodation

At CREC, Tirupati there are two hostels for Boys and Girls separately. The CREC Institutions have well-furnished rooms for the students. The residential arrangements are separate for boys and girls. With the view to give the best comforts to the students, girls' and Boys' hostels areconstructed inside the college campus.

Students who stay in hostel rooms experience real life which enables them to learn to be independent and to manage the realities and challenges of daily life. The security of the students is one of Management’s highest priorities. Security personnel are stationed at the hostel to ensure 24/7 security for the residents. Each hostel consists of a 24-hour on-duty Warden and Assistant Wardens to give personal care to every student, monitor their attendance daily and look into their well-being.

The Library

The Central Library is located in spacious and gratifying premises. The Central Library has more than 5140 titles, and 34169 volumes and subscribes to more than 108 international and national journals.1200 back issues are also available. Copying and Internet facilities are available in the central library. The main reading room can accommodate over 120 students at a time.00:00 every working day and working hours are extended during exams. The students can loan two books at any time.

Medical Services and Health Center

The campus has a unique health centre open to all students and staff from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. An Ambulance is stationed at the Health Center to meet any emergencies. A medical shop is kept open till 9.30 p.m.
