Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College (BCREC) Durgapur, West Bengal was established in the year 2000 and is one of the best engineering and Management colleges in Eastern India. BCREC has received the ‘Education Excellence 2019 Award in Engineering’ award from the renowned Bengali News Channel, and ‘The Best Emerging Engineering College in India’ in 2018 by Today Research and Ratings (TRR). It offers courses that include B.Tech in seven Engineering Disciplines, MBA, MCA, and M.Tech programs. Admission to these courses is done on the basis of the entrance exam. Boys Hostel:

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. The college has well-ventilated accommodations for boys students within the campus that emote a pleasant feeling and enhance learning. Hostels are managed by male wardens (Boys Hostels) respectively apart from 24 hrs security is provided in each of the hostel blocks. Laboratories:

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students. The college maintains a Medical Unit to provide medical aid to students under the expert supervision of our experienced resident physician Dr. (Mrs)Chhaya Chakraborty and pharmacist Shri. B. Nayak. It has a mini infirmary with provisions of 24 hrs car service to the nearest hospital in case of an emergency.

Library:

The college has a well-equipped Dr. Meghnad Saha Central Library housed in a separate sprawling three-storied building with internet connectivity and collections of textbooks, reference books, CD-ROM/DVD discs, and online databases. It is a participant in the INDEST-AICTE Consortium and subscribes to IEL online and DEL online databases besides the DELNET database. The Central Library has a collection of over 80,000 books. It also accommodates a book bank from where students can borrow books for a longer duration.

Sports Facilities:

The college has sports facilities for all students. The college's Outdoor facilities include athletics (Track field with all accessories), Football, volleyball, basketball, badminton courts, etc. The college provides excellent indoor facilities for table tennis, chess, carom, etc. The Annual Sports Day Celebrations are organized every year on a grand scale with enthusiasm and fervor.
