YSP Solan is a government university, established on December 1, 1985, as an agricultural university. Its campus is spread over about 5.5 sq km of land near Nauni at an altitude of 1,300 m above sea level. The university offers UG, PG, Diploma, MBA, and PhD programs for horticulturists, foresters, allied science professionals, as well as those working in the field of agribusiness. Students of B.Sc. YSP Solan follows a clear set of rules while calculating its cutoff, which is dependent on merit and the availability of reserved seats for different categories of students.
