GCE Salem UG Admission

Government College of Engineering, Salem offers admission to the BE program based on performance in the qualifying examination. Candidates who have passed the 10+2 level from the Science stream are subjected to the counseling process, conducted by Anna University.

Candidates seeking admission to the undergraduate program offered by the Government College of Engineering, Salem may do so by applying online through the official website.

Candidates must have a pass at the 10+2 level in the Science stream to apply.
Reservation is by the regulations of the Government of India.
Candidates must be at least 17 years of age to apply.
Selection is based on merit depending on the rank secured in the qualifying examination.

GCE Salem PG Admission 

Government College of Engineering, Salem offers admission to ME programs based on performance in the state-level entrance conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu, TANCET. Candidates should possess a graduate degree in the relevant stream to be eligible to apply. Selected candidates must provide all original documents for verification for processing final admission.

TANCET consists of a 2-hour paper with 115 questions covering all relevant subject matter to the field as studied at the graduate level.

The paper is divided into three sections, 20 questions, 35 questions, and 60 questions each.
1 mark is awarded for every correct answer, and 1/3rd mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.

Candidates seeking admission to the postgraduate program at the Government College of Engineering, Salem may do so by applying online through the official TANCET website.

Candidates should have passed at the undergraduate level in a relevant stream from a UGC-recognized university.
Reservation is by the regulations of the Government of India.

  2. Next, the candidate will be redirected to an application form which must be duly filled in with all required details.
  3. Candidates must submit the application fee via online banking/debit or credit card payment, following which they will be given a registration number.
  4. All necessary documents and a recent photograph must then be uploaded along with the submitted form.
  5. The preference for Government College of Engineering, Salem must be specified while filling out the application form

For PG Course/ TANCET:
  1. Candidates must first register on the official TANCET website, following which a login ID will be generated.
  2. The application form must then be duly filled in with all personal and academic details
  3. All necessary documents and a recent photograph must then be uploaded along with the submitted form.
  4. Candidates must pay the application fee via online banking/debit or credit card payment, following which they will be given a registration number.
