HITM Shree Jagdamba Education and Charitable Trust was established in December 2007, with a vision to set up and develop education institutions. Engineering and technology are the backbone of growth and development and play a major role in shaping the destiny of the Nation. The government is striving hard to achieve these goals and had established prestigious engineering and technology training institutes like IIT"s and NIT" S. But, the increase in the number of engineers graduating from such institutions is not keeping pace with the growth in demand for qualified technical manpower in the country.
HITM Shree Jagdamba Education and Charitable Trust was founded in December 2007 with the aim of establishing the foundation and build educational institutions. Engineering and technology form the foundation of development and growth and play a significant influence on the fate of our nation. The government is working hard to attain these goals and has set up elite engineering and technology education institutes such as IITs"s as well as NIT" S. But the growth numbers of engineering students who graduate from these institutions aren't in line with the increase of the need for highly skilled technical workers throughout the country.
Hindustan Institute of Technology and Management (HITM, Ambala) is affiliated by Kurukshetra University. The college is affiliated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Hindustan Institute of Technology and Management (HITM, Ambala) has programs available at various levels, such as the Undergraduate Degree i.e. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Lateral Entry), Diploma in Production Management, Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, etc., and many more. Library
The library is well-stocked with books for general reading together with Magazines and Research Journals, regular newspapers, that are national and regional are specifically subscribed to satisfy the needs of all users. The library offers a variety of services like e-library and e-journals, as well as subscriptions to various international agencies such as DELNET and J-GATE.
The library is the heart, mind and soul of an educational institution. It's an ingenuity fountainhead that provides understanding and inspiration both for students as well as the faculty. Library and learning are as close one in the same way as the light source to the lamp. Library is located in a separate section of the college building. It is air conditioning. It has been upgraded and gradually improved.
The library has more than 15000 titles from various streams. In addition to these text and reference books, the Library is also subscribed to numerous National as well as International Journals, Magazines and Encyclopedia The Library has a large collection of essential educational CDsIDVDs that focus on Engineering & Technology.
Library has also been an institution participant in the Developing Library Network (DELNET) and NISCAIR, New Delhi. Apart from providing on-line access to a variety of DELNET databases DELNET provides a high-quality DELNET loan as well as Document Delivery Services for our students and faculty.
The library is also stocked with examination papers from the past along with project reports and other materials for reference. The reading room that is attached to the library allows students to easily access the library's materials.
Hostel Facility
HITM has offered the hostel facilities with the intention of offering an environment that is secure . The girls and boys hostels are situated on the campus itself, so it allows easy access between the students and the college. The campus has excellent infrastructure and facilities that make students feel relaxed and enjoy an atmosphere that is welcoming.
The hostel is located away from the bustle of city life The hostel has a peaceful and tranquil environment. Hostels offer facilities for messing up for students. The mess is large clean and stylish. Internet Facilities are also available within the hostel. Hostel life can help students develop self-reliance, independence collaborative spirit, and managerial skills.
HITM has therefore offered accommodation for students on campus for girls and boys. The hostels are air-conditioned large and spacious, as well as equipped with study tables, beds chairs, and cabinets. In addition, the Hostel Mess provides nutritious and healthy food and pure drinking water via an RO System. The rooms for recreation, complete equipped with T.V newspapers, T.V. magazines, and indoor games/ sports are an integral component in the HITM housing system.
Wi-Fi Campus
Recognizing the importance and necessity for Internet in the education field, the campus is aided by 24/7 high deP-64411 speed Internet connectivity of 8Mbps. It also provides a robust backbone with an 0 FC dedicated link across the campus, with the aid of wireless internet, which allows students are able to browse the Web and enhance their understanding.
Seminar Hall
The campus features vast Seminar Halls which are able to accommodate a large audiences. The halls are fully equipped with the latest technology tools, including LCD Projectors OHPs, LCD Projectors, and other multi-media devices. Seminars, guest lectures and group discussions are conducted inside the Seminar Halls.
Transport
The college is equipped with several luxury buses .The bus routes are designed to ensure that students from all regions of the city are able to quickly and easily reach the campus. The service is available to students at affordable cost based on the route chosen by them. The main pick up points are Yamunanagar,Jagadhri, Ambala city, Ambala cantt, Mahesh Nagar, Saha ,Shahabad, Babain, Ugala, Barara, in addition to providing transport from residence to the Institute and back.
Cafeteria
The college is well-established and lively Cafeteria that covers the size of 1700 sq.mt.area within the campus. The cafeteria makes all food items available to students and faculty according to their needs. Cafeteria facilities are available to serve hygienic and nutritious food items to students as per their preferences. The prices charged for different foods are analyzed as well as approved by the administration of the school.
In the cozy environment in the Canteen, students can organize informal gatherings for get-togethers and discussions on their academics. The canteen is open from 8:00 am until 9:45 at night. Sports
It is a well-known fact that the "Healthy body" has a healthy mental state. "Keeping in mind this, an obstacle course based on the army standards has been crafted at the college to help bring students into a an ideal physical condition. Additionally they regularly conduct various types of extracurricular activities to help the overall development of its students.
In the context of sports the college hosts "Sports Mela" - HPL"every semester at the college. Students participate in a variety of types of sports, including CRICKET,, BASKETBALL FOOTBALL, TABLE-TENNIS CHESS, BADMINTION, CARROM BOARD etc.
Medical Facilities
The first-aid room and the sick room are located within the building for academics. The health centre is managed by a medical professional and an assistant to healthcare. They provide top-quality medical assistance to all students, staff members are free. The medical officer is responsible for all areas of faculty.
They offer high-quality medical care to all They evaluate the quality of care provided as well as the overall efficiency of the center and determines the procedure to follow in the event of an emergencies. Additionally, vaccinations and annual examinations are performed at this center. (Institute offers free insurance to students and employees with risk coverage that is up to the amount of Rs. 5 lac.)
