Kurukshetra University was started on January 11, 1956, and it is positioned in Kurukshetra, Haryana, India, a well-regarded institution. The foundation stone of the university was laid by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. When the KUK was started, it had only one department aiming to study Sanskrit.
