Facilities and Infrastructure

Residential Accommodations:

IISER TVM is a fully furnished hostel with separate hostels for male and female students. There are Dining Halls as a part of the hostel complex, further to different eateries. An Indoor Stadium further to the outside courts offers sports activities facilities. There are many different recreation regions for cultural activities.

Library:

The library has an intensive collection of books, monographs, and convention proceedings in physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, computer science, humanities, and interdisciplinary scientific fields. The library's digital sources consist of bibliographic databases, comprehensive databases of textual content, journals, archives, e-books, software, statistical packages, digital images, and maps.

Lab:

The campus has state-of-the-art and well-equipped laboratory facilities in chemistry, physics, and biology.

Medical Facilities:

The medical facilities are well-equipped and have a staff spherical the clock. An ambulance is to be had in case of emergencies that want on-the-spot hospital treatment in a larger hospital.

Admission

Admission to these courses is provided through various entrance exams and counseling channels. Selection to the Ph.D. course is based on scores obtained in GATE/ NET/ UGC-JRF /CSIR-JRF /JEST /JGEEBILS /INSPIRE-PhD /NET-LS entrance exams.

Scholarships

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana researchers admitted to IISERs will draw affiliation in line with KVPY standards. Academic facilities

Currently, the main academic complex comprises the Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences and Biological Sciences buildings along with the Animal House an Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) buildings. A separate Lecture Hall complex and Administrative block are expected to be ready by 2020.
