Hostels

•Our homes away from home are as modern as they can be. More importantly, though have spawned the cultures that make the campus an unforgettable experience. It's here that midnight cricket tournaments, early morning bakar sessions, community computer warfare and so many other things find expression.

•Each hostel has a state of art Cyber Cafe, managed by students. All hostels are now fully Wi-Fi-connected, meaning that the Internet permeates the space we live in. And who could imagine life without midnight snacks at the Bhawan Canteens, especially after an intense bakar or gaming session? And all this, in peaceful, clean, aesthetic environs, the likes of which very few places in the world can boast.

Clubs

The competitive academic environment and co-curricular activities on campus keep the students on their toes. But everyone needs some time off, to relax and recharge. Indian Institute Of Technology (IIT Roorkee) Clubs at IIT-R are the best place for this. The students' clubs: the U.G. club, the P.G. club, the Alaknanda club, and the Jawahar clubhouse the indoor sports facilities include seven Billiards and snooker Tables, Carrom boards, Chess boards, Table Tennis facilities, and a Foosball table. The hobbies club also has sections devoted to pursuits like star-gazing, philately and numismatics, and robotics. The clubs also have reading rooms with a plethora of newspapers and light magazines. Each of the clubs has a TV room with a seating capacity of a hundred-odd people providing a great atmosphere for watching the winning sixer or the not-so-interesting soap operas.

Cafe/Mess Facility

The campus has several consuming hubs, present at distinguished locations. These foster critical interactions among college students and are frequently visible and bustling with activity. There are multiple such eateries all through the campus just like the Alpha Cafe and diverse hostel cafes. The Multi Activity Centre, has Cafe Coffee Day, an Amul parlor, and Saatviko Idea Cafe. Besides serving food, the concept cafe works as a dialogue center for college students, housing a convention room and an exercise zone.

•Our campus has numerous eating hubs, present at prominent locations. These foster essential interactions between students and are often seen bustling with activity.

•Georgia Cafe, being located near the new lecture hall complex, the students club, and various hostels, ensures it is a great center of interactions.

•Nescafe, being located near the sports complex, also sees it being full of students daily.

•The Multi Activity Centre, has Cafe Coffee Day, an Amul parlor, and Saatviko Idea Cafe. Besides serving food, the ideal cafe works as a discussion center for students, housing a conference room and a recreation zone.

•There are multiple such eateries throughout the campus like the alphar cafe and various hostel cafes.

•Each hostel has fresh fruit stalls and canteens with large seating spaces for students to eat as well as interact with their peers.

•To satisfy the night cravings of students we even have night cafes like the Shri Balaji Cautley Bhawan Cafe which operates once all canteens are done serving, from 2 A.M. to 2 P.M.

Library

Indian Institute Of Technology (IIT Roorkee) boasts a well-stocked library with an extensive collection of books, journals, and digital resources. The library also offers quiet study areas, allowing students to engage in research and self-study comfortably.
