Over the years, it has garnered acclaim as one of the nation's most comprehensive libraries, particularly excelling in the domain of Statistics and its related disciplines. Boasting a vast collection, the Central Library in Kolkata houses more than 200,000 volumes comprising books, journals, official reports, reprints, maps, microfilms, and microfiches. Annually, it subscribes to approximately one thousand scientific and technical journals, staying abreast of the latest developments in various fields. The library has embraced technological advancements, acquiring databases on CD-ROM, and is currently undergoing further computerization to enhance its services. Additionally, it hosts a specialized collection dedicated to Mathematics and Statistics, known as the Eastern Regional Centre of NBHM collection, funded by the National Board of Higher Mathematics. ISI also offers a course leading to an Associateship in Documentation and Information Science, administered by the Documentation Research and Training Centre based in ISI Bangalore. Together, the Centre and the Library form the Library, Documentation, and Information Science Division of ISI, reflecting the institute's commitment to fostering excellence in academia and research.

Hostel (ISI), Mumbai

The establishment of the Senior Boys' Hostel, colloquially known as the Research Scholars' Hostel or RS Hostel, at ISI Mumbai, was finalized in 1989. This accommodation facility caters not only to research fellows but also to M.Tech. students. Furthermore, a dedicated section within the hostel is specifically allocated for international students affiliated with the International Statistical Education Centre (ISEC).

Guest House (ISI), Mumbai

The guest house at ISI Mumbai, a delightful three-story structure, provides a hospitable haven for visitors in need of temporary lodging within the institute's premises. With an assortment of six suites, six double bedrooms, and twenty-three single bedrooms, the guest house caters to the diverse needs of both individuals and groups. Every lodging option is meticulously crafted and tastefully furnished to offer guests a warm and inviting ambiance throughout their stay.

Main Campus (ISI), Mumbai

The Indian Statistical Institute's main campus in Kolkata sprawls across a vast 30-acre estate situated on the Barrackpore Trunk Road (B.T. Road) within the Baranagore suburb of Greater Kolkata. This expansive campus is divided into two nearly equal parts: the office complex and the residential complex, with a public road running between them. Known as Girish Chand Ghosh Street, this road links B.T. Road with Gopal Lal Tagore Road, which borders the western perimeter of the main campus. The office complex is designated with door numbers 202, 203, and 204, while the residential complex is identified as 205 and 206. There exists no direct passage between the two sections of the campus; individuals must exit onto B.T. Road and re-enter to traverse between the residential and office areas. Additionally, a narrow public road separates 202 and 203 B.T. Road, albeit these premises are directly connected.

Buildings (ISI), Mumbai

The office complex of ISI Mumbai comprises several key buildings, including the Main Building, the Geology Building, the Library Building, the Administration Building, and the Amrapali. On the residential campus located at 205 and 206 B.T. Road premises, alongside various staff quarters, one can find essential facilities such as the Guest House, the Medical Welfare Unit, the Boys' Hostel, the Research Scholars' and ISEC hostel, the Lady's Hostel, and sections of various service units. While steeped in history, one particular building within this complex, known as Amrapali, is currently inactive.
