ISID Admission Process 2026
Institute for Studies in Industrial Development Admission is based on the PhD program applicants' combination of factors, mainly emphasising the research proposal and interview performance of the applicant. The applicant has to submit a detailed research proposal, and then shortlisted candidates are called for an interview to assess the research aptitude and the independent ability to conduct research of the candidate. The UGC-NET score is also taken into account, with 70% weightage to the NET score and 30% to the interview. But some admissions could be based solely on the interview, with 100% weightage being accorded to it. The eligibility for the Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID) PhD program demands that students possess a Master's degree or equivalent with specialisation in Economics, Development Economics, Business Economics, Econometrics, Public Policy, Finance, Management, or any other related subjects. Students with an MPhil degree and having at least 55% aggregate marks, or students who have cleared the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), are also eligible.
