Now, JJCET has been administered by the Sowdambikaa Group of Institutions from the academic year 2019-2020. The college is situated in Ammapettai village, 18 km from Tiruchirappalli abutting the National Highway (NH45) leading to Dindigul, in a sprawling area of more than 100 acres, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The JJCET Library was established in the year 1994, and it was housed in a classroom with 1,500 books to start with. It is privileged to support the institute’s march toward its vision “Stay Ahead”. It is located in the main building with the ground floor and first floor. The Library is well equipped with modern facilities & resources in the form of CD-ROM. Online databases, audio video cassettes, books, journals, etc. The Library transaction and library entries are carried out by Barcode Technology. It has the facility to Web OPAC-online search. So the library catalog can be accessed through the intranet, and in the future through the Internet. And the Library is being subscribed to DELNET e-journals and utilizing the E-resources. In addition, each department has a Departmental Library to cater to the needs of the students for textbooks and reference books.

Transport

For the convenience of non-residential students and staff, 35 buses are operated from different destinations in and around Trichy and also from far-off places like Tanjore, Thuraiyur, Pudukottai, Vaiyampatti, Thuvarankurichy, Musiri, Lalgudi, Manaparai, OFT, Tharagampatti, Keeranur, Viralimalai, Illupur, Thogaimalai, Ponnamaravathy at a cost cheaper than public and private transports.

Hostel

There are 4 (Four) separate hostels for Boys and 2 (Two) separate hostels for Girls on campus. The Girl's Hostels can accommodate 950 girls and the boys' hostels can accommodate 1280 students. Separate messes are attached to the hostels providing quality and nutritious food in a hygienic environment. A recreation room with TV and provisions for indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess, and Carrom is available. Medical officers visit the hostels every day. Deputy Wardens and Resident Tutors reside in the hostels, and they take care of the discipline and welfare of the residents.

JJCET Placement Cell

The JJCET Department of Training and Placement plays a vital role in making students industry-ready. Our primary objective is to prepare students for the Real World. In the context of quality and excellence, the T&P Department is a valuable addition to our Institution. With a view to enhancing the “Employability Skills” of students, the T&P has evolved a Comprehensive Programme, tailored to cater to the individual needs and potential of each student for the full length of the course. Ultimately this department helps to meet the requirements of the Industries. From the T&P department with the help of corporate trainers, we train our students right from the first year to the final year.
