KC College was established in 1954 under the aegis of the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board.

The college has been re-accredited with an A grade from the NAAC in three consecutive cycles. and ranked Best College (Urban Area) by the University of Mumbai in 2015. In 2019, the college was awarded Star College status and the Star Scheme by the government's Department of Biotechnology. from India. The college is also funded under the government's prestigious FIST program DST (Department of Science and Technology). from India.

Residential Accommodation
Separate boys' and girls' hostels with high security are available on the university campus. Boys and girls have two hostels with Wi-Fi services for UG and PG, which can accommodate about 450 students each with good infrastructure. A university van and car are always available to meet emerging customer needs. A well-equipped gym is established so that the students of the inn develop the physical ability of boys and girls. The library
K.C.The College Library is one of the largest libraries in the city with a collection of over 60,000 books, many ebooks, and ezines via NList. The library is fully automated using an integrated library "Librarian Suite" software with various computerized library operations on a LAN system. The Online Public Access Catalog (WEB OPAC) is available to users through which they can browse the vast collection of books in a very short time thanks to the computer database. The library collection includes books, reference books, maps, CD-ROMs, periodicals and reports, etc. Each year the collection is enriched by the addition of the latest books and various other publications. The library also has a good collection of rare books.
Auditorium
The K.C.The College auditorium is one of the best in Mumbai. It is centrally air-conditioned and is equipped with state-of-the-art acoustics and light and sound structures. It is technically superior and enjoys a place of honor within the premises of the college with a capacity of 582 places.
Laboratories
The Laboratories - Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Computer Sciences, Statistics,
Psychology, Polymer Chemistry, Nuclear & amp; Radiochemistry is well equipped with the latest devices and sophisticated equipment. The college has established a new state-of-the-art textile culture laboratory, a Biotechnology laboratory, and a central laboratory. Laboratories and science departments are well equipped with computers, required software, and other apparatus.
Sport
Physical education is strongly aimed at improving the physical and mental health of the individual player. This results in the development of dynamic personalities. Sports activities and achievements have helped many people get better job opportunities. The clean area with the natural gift of fresh air is an inspiring resource, which motivates the player to perform better. Sports carry the same weight as academics. All sports activities are encouraged by providing all facilities when students participate in intercollegiate, Intra college, and other tournaments. The victorious university teams have won all major sporting events in Tamil Nadu including the Anna University Interzonal Sports Championship.
