Kamdhenu University is the most preferred source for various courses in the field of veterinary, dairy, and fisheries science. B.Tech in Dairy Technology, Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), and Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) are the most popular programmes of the university. All these popular programs of Kamdhenu University are designed to focus on the practical side of studies by establishing modern laboratories, dairies, veterinary hospitals, and research centres. At the postgraduate level, M.Tech in Dairy Technology, M.V.Sc, and M.F.Sc are M.Tech, M.V.Sc, and M.F.Sc in Dairy Technology are also popular courses.

Kamdhenu University Cutoff

The cutoff of Kamdhenu University varies from course to course, but in general, it includes a combination of academic performance and entrance exam marks. For BVSc and AH, candidates must have a valid NEET-UG score, the cutoff rank ranges between 56,145-58,242 for the General category and 61,893 for the EWS category in the year 2024, while for OBC, SC, and ST categories it is even higher, for example, 82,430, 226,657 and 224,499 respectively. Applicants applying for BTech Dairy Technology will be from Gujarat, so they must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in 10+2 (PCM) or 55% for SEBC/SC/ST and at least 50% from GUJCET or equivalent; the final decision will depend on 60:40 board marks for admission score.

Kamdhenu University Placement

Kamdhenu University maintains a dedicated student counseling and placement cell throughout all its colleges and polytechnics. The cell also conducts on- and off-campus interviews, workshops, mock interviews, and seminars to prepare students. For the UG BTech Dairy Technology program, the placementat Kamdhenu University is generally 75%, for example, AMR Dairy, Vadilal Ice Cream, Sarhad and Sahakari Dairy are the recruiters, and the medium packages entered are INR 3 LPA, while for PG students it will be INR 6-6.6 LPA in 2023. Kamdhenu University Scholarships

Kamdhenu University is offering several scholarships that aim to reward academic excellence and ensure financial inclusion for all deserving students. Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) and Mukhyamantri Chhatravriti Yojana (CMSS) are two scholarships offered by the two schemes to reward the best-performing students, mostly those who score more than 80% marks in 10+2, and are also given financial assistance. The ICAR-DBT scholarship at Kamdhenu University of Rs 5,000 per month for two years, which is given to postgraduate students with more than 80% attendance, can also be availed. The SHODH fellowship is available for research scholars for PhD programs and the INSPIRE awards. Along with this, there will also be NPS scholarships for minorities from the general category and post-matric funding for ST girls.

Kamdhenu University has a network of constituent and affiliated colleges spread across Gujarat, providing comprehensive education in veterinary, dairying, fisheries, and allied animal sciences. The affiliated colleges of Kamdhenu University include polytechnics in animal husbandry at Rajpur (S.K. Nagar), Junagadh, Navsari, and Himmatnagar; undergraduate and postgraduate colleges of veterinary science and animal husbandry located at Anand, Junagadh, Navsari, Sardarkrishinagar, Himmatnagar, and Bhuj; colleges of dairy science at Amreli, Anandf, and Sardarkrishinagar, and colleges of fisheries science at Veraval and Navsari.
