LNCT Approved by AICTE: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was established in November 1945 as a national-level apex advisory body to conduct a comprehensive survey of the available facilities for technical education and promote development in a coordinated and integrated manner across the country. The AICTE Act was formulated to establish the council, intending to facilitate proper planning and coordinated development of the technical education system throughout India. Its objectives include promoting qualitative improvements in technical education alongside planned quantitative growth, as well as regulating and maintaining norms and standards within the technical education system and related matters.
LNCT Affiliated with the RGPV: Established in 1998 through the enactment of Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Act 13, 1998, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) spans across a vast campus of approximately 247 acres, aiming to evolve into a center of excellence in technical education, research, and innovation. The university encompasses 5 University Teaching Departments (UTDs), 200 affiliated engineering colleges, 98 pharmacy colleges, 95 MCA colleges, and 4 architecture colleges, offering undergraduate instruction in 17 courses and diploma courses in emerging and traditional disciplines through 85 polytechnic institutions. Currently, efforts are underway to establish an automated setup with a user-friendly interface for seamless access to e-resources. The library receives a footfall of more than 1,400 visitors annually.
Hostel:
LNCT, Indore, provides residential accommodation for students through two hostels conveniently situated within the college campus. MBA Eligibility Criteria:
1. To be eligible for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Allied Courses, candidates must meet certain criteria. Firstly, they should hold a Bachelor's degree from any UGC/AICTE-approved Indian University or from a foreign University recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or institute acknowledged by the respective University as equivalent. This Bachelor's degree should be attained with a minimum of 50% marks, and for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC categories of Madhya Pradesh, a minimum of 45% marks is required in aggregate.
2. Additionally, the Bachelor's degree must have a duration of at least three years following the completion of the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination or its equivalent. This ensures that candidates have acquired a foundational level of education and are prepared for the rigors of the MBA program. These eligibility criteria are set to ensure that candidates possess the necessary academic background and capabilities to excel in the demanding curriculum of the MBA and Allied Courses.
B.Tech Admission
1. Lakshmi Narain College of Technology presents Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programs across six distinct disciplines. Admission into these courses mandates candidates to have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, securing a minimum of 45% marks from any recognized board, except for the MP Board.
2. SC/ST/PWD candidates benefit from a relaxation of up to 5 years of age and a 5% relaxation in the aggregate score of the qualifying examination. The B.Tech program admits 60 candidates per discipline.
3. For those holding a Diploma in Engineering & Technology or a B.Sc. degree with a minimum of 45% marks, entry into the second year of the B.Tech program through lateral entry is permissible.
