Established in 1965, Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS), Manipal, was the first private dental institution under self-financing mode in India. It was known as the College of Dental Surgery in the past. The college is one of the constituent institutions of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). MCODS Manipal is also known for being recognized by the Malaysian Dental Council and is a constituent of Kathmandu University (Nepal). It is noteworthy that the college has been acknowledged as the 5th and the 2nd best dental college by India Today Ranking 2024 and NIRF Ranking 2024, respectively.
MCODS Manipal provides a gamut of dental courses including Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) in various branches of specialization. The postgraduate level has new certificate courses launched by the college such as Aesthetic Dentistry, Laser Dentistry, and Oral Implantology. Admissions are facilitated based on the score obtained in the NEET UG and NEET MDS tests. The college has also partnered with top universities abroad such as the University of IOWA, UNICAMP Brazil, University of Peradeniya, University of Sydney, Boston University and The School of Clinical Dentistry, University of Sheffield.

Go to the website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in, where centralized BDS counseling is held. The registration for MDS is kept at the official website of the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) i.e. kea.kar.nic.in. Click on a page titled 'New Candidate Registration'. Enter details like your Roll Number, Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and Security Pin. Depositing the counselling fees is not refundable. After the choice-filling process starts, identify the college with the mark of MCODS Manipal. When you have, you will be given a password and you’ll have to 'Lock Choices' to end the process. The allocation of the college is accompanied by the candidate presenting the documents for verification. At the end of the above process, the candidate must report physically to the college campus, complete the documentation submission, and pay the admission fees to seize the seat in the college.

The MCODS Manipal Placement report is going to come on the official website of the college in a few days. The college arranges a one-year rotary internship as part of the course that is necessary for the students to complete. They receive a stipend of INR 20,000 for their internship duration.
