As a supporting pillar to the University, the Mother Teresa Women’s University, Madurai Campus was re-established in August 2013. The Campus aims to bridge Academic and Research Programmes. Being strategically located in the mid of Tamil Nadu which has a blend of both urban and rural backgrounds, it caters to the need of Women researchers in the city and the needy poor rural women in and around Madurai, Theni, and Dindigul Districts. Mother Teresa Women’s University Library was started in 1984. The university library is virtually a “Mecca” for researchers in Women’s Studies. It's a unique and rare collection of books. reports, and journals on women, make the library for excellent and competent in Women’s Studies. The University Library maintains a comprehensive collection of volumes numbering 74903 and 3561 volumes of complimentary books from various sources. The Thrust area of the library is Women’s Studies about various disciplines. Membership is open to students, scholars, University Faculties, and registered full-time Scholars. The library is equipped with INFLIBNET facilities with wide reference and information. Documentation work has been carried out on Women related issues. NKN (National Knowledge Network) Lab facility with 1GB connectivity.

Sports

Mother Teresa Women's University Indoor Team participated in the Intercollegiate Indoor Tournament 2019-2020 for women which was held at Nadar Saraswathi College for Women, Theni. Seven Teams of Shuttle Badminton, 5 Teams of Table Tennis, and 10 Players from 5 Colleges for Chess. (One team from each affiliated college of the university) participated in this tournament. From our University team, 14 members participated. Mother Teresa Women's University Indoor Team participated in the Intercollegiate Indoor Tournament 2019-2020 for women which was held at Sri Adi Chunchanagiri Women's College, Cumbum. Eight Teams (One team from each affiliated college or university) participated in this tournament.

IT Facilities

Mother Teresa Women’s University Campus is having 1 GBPS of high-speed internet facility. The University has a 24X7 Wi-Fi facility on the campus for the student and faculty members to avail internet connection. The connectivity through a fully networked campus with state-of-the-art IT infrastructure, computing & communication resources, offers students the facilities of e-mail, net surfing, and up/down loading of web-based applications, besides helping them in preparing projects & seminars.

The entire campus is monitored by a CCTV facility. The CCTV installed at strategic places helps to monitor campus activities. 

Video conferencing sessions are regularly organized to improve the communication efficiency of the students. This facility is useful in Online teaching also.

FITNESS CENTRE

Health education could help to equip oneself with basic knowledge about one’s personality, to learn to handle oneself well in all life situations, to learn techniques for gaining good health, to develop a discriminative mind capable of knowing the real from the unreal, and face the dualities of life with equanimity. A fitness center may provide both indoor and outdoor health and fitness activities. All in all, we could say that a fitness center is more than a gym. It provides a simple workout without any gym machines and equipment but offers a wider variety of group classes and activities, Two Gym centers are available in our Ananthagiri campus and Attuvampatti Campus.

Placement

The Mother Teresa Women’s University Placement Cell of Mother Teresa Women’s University is vibrant and invites Companies from different sectors to provide Campus Placement to the students for all streams in University and its Constituent and Affiliated Colleges. In addition, the Placement Cell line up the Job Fairs conducted by the District Employment Offices, Arts and Science Colleges, and Engineering Colleges for the students to get Off Campus placements. It also intimate to the students the employment opportunities received from various WhatsApp groups to choose from and apply to their interests. The Placement Cell has entered into MoUs with organizations providing placement training and placed them in various organizations in their network. The students are oriented with the Campus Internships from the Companies addressing the Industry expectations, placement readiness, and career opportunities in their organizations.
