NMCE Recruitment Policy

Recruitment Policy: The Recruitment Policy for the Training and Placement (T&P) Department is applicable to all students registered for the 2017-18 campus placements at Nanasaheb Mahadik College of Engineering (NMCOE) and is to be adhered to throughout the placement season.

Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Students: Students of NMCOE must have completed seven semesters of their degree or graduated to be eligible for registration for campus placements. Students are allowed to register for placements and related trainings/workshops organized by the T&P Cell only once.

Policy Rules:

1. The role of the Training and Placement Officer (TPO) is to act as a mediator and analyst for placement and training-related activities. The TPO does not guarantee job placements. It is the sole responsibility and decision of the students to apply for and join a company.

2. Recruitment opportunities are available to all students registered with the T&P Cell, following the policy of 'one job-one student at the first instance'. Until securing their first job, students may apply and appear for interviews without restrictions. A student is considered to have secured a job if their name appears in the selection list or upon receipt of an appointment letter by the Head-Training and Placement.

3. Students must carry their Identity Card during presentations, online tests, group discussions, and personal interviews, and produce it when requested by HR representatives or TPO coordinators.

4. The Head-Training and Placement strongly discourages students from seeking off-campus opportunities with companies that visit the NMCOE campus, as it negatively impacts institute-company relations. Students are encouraged to provide contacts of companies they have, for formal invitation by the T&P Cell.

5. Any Pre-Placement Offers received by students must be promptly communicated to the T&P office upon registration. Students must accept or reject Pre-Placement Offers within the specified timeframe set by the company.

6. Students accepting a Pre-Placement Offer will not be allowed to participate in further recruitment processes, while those rejecting offers can continue. Any breach of these rules or failure to inform the T&P office about Pre-Placement Offers may lead to disqualification from the recruitment process.

7. Misbehavior by students during presentations or selection processes will result in penalties or immediate disqualification from the process.

8. Students missing Pre-Placement Talks/Presentations, tests, discussions, or interviews due to genuine reasons must provide proof from their respective Heads of the Department to attend further campus drives.

9. Upon successful joining in a company or industry, students must fill and submit the 'Alumni Association Form' available on the institute website: www.nmcoe.org.in.
