NMCE Affiliated with Shivaji University: Established in 1962, Shivaji University bears the name of the esteemed Maratha Warrior and founder of the Maratha empire, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Dr. Radhakrishnan, the then President of India, inaugurated the university on 18th November 1962. Its primary objective was to address the regional educational needs of South Maharashtra. 1. Nanasaheb Mahadik College of Engineering (NMCE) provides a 4-year full-time Bachelor of Engineering (BE) program with five specializations, offering a total of 270 seats. Additionally, the college offers Lateral Entry in Mechanical Engineering with 45 seats.
2. Eligibility criteria mandate candidates to have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology, or Biotechnology as optional subjects. For Lateral Entry, candidates need to have successfully completed a Diploma in the relevant field.
3. Admission to the BE program is based on a valid score in either MHT CET or JEE Main. Meanwhile, Lateral Entry admission is determined solely on merit. Shortlisted candidates are subsequently invited for MHT CET counseling.
4. Candidates who have successfully completed their 10+2 education in the vocational stream are eligible to apply for admission. Similarly, individuals holding a B.Sc. degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university are also welcome to apply. 1. Recruitment Policy: The Recruitment Policy for the Training and Placement (T&P) Department is applicable to all students registered for the 2017-18 campus placements at Nanasaheb Mahadik College of Engineering (NMCOE) and is to be adhered to throughout the placement season.
2. Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Students: Students of NMCOE must have completed seven semesters of their degree or graduated to be eligible for registration for campus placements. Students are allowed to register for placements and related trainings/workshops organized by the T&P Cell only once.
