NIT Meghalaya Ph.D.: How to Apply?
For individuals applying to Ph.D. programs, the application process involves submitting forms online. Additionally, candidates are required to fill out application forms for entrance exams such as JEE Main or GATE to be eligible for the entrance examinations.
Here are the steps to apply:
- Visit the official institute website and select the link for the relevant courses.
- Initiate the application process by making the payment of application fees before filling out the form.
- The payment can be completed through two methods: Using HDFC or Online SBI Collect.
- For those choosing the Online SBI Collect method, navigate to the SBI site.
- Click on ‘Make Payment using SB Collect’ and agree to the terms and conditions to proceed.
- Select the desired options from the drop-down menu boxes and click on ‘Submit.’
- On the payment page, choose the Application Fees option and confirm the payment.
- Complete the payment by selecting the preferred mode of payment.
- In the application form, input the reference number and payment date in the specified fields.
- Fill out the application form accurately and submit it.
- Submit the filled online application form with self-attested documents and proof of payment.

- Original and one self-attested copy of all Educational Marksheets and Passing Certificates.
- Original and one self-attested copy of the Caste Certificate.
- Original and one self-attested copy of Date of Birth Proof.
- Three passport-size photographs.
- Payment receipt.
- Score Card.
- Anti-Ragging affidavit.
- Income Declaration form.
- BPL Certificate.
- Copies of Voter ID & Aadhar Card.
- Front Page of the candidate’s SBI Passbook.
NIT Meghalaya B.Tech/ M.Tech: How to Apply?
Aspiring candidates can register for admission by following the steps outlined in the application process below:
- Notification regarding application releases will be announced by respective counseling boards on their official websites.
- Candidates need to fill out the form online, uploading scanned photographs, and signatures, along with photocopies of marks sheets and certificates (if required).
- Arrange choices of colleges in order of preference before locking them.
- Once choices are locked, seat allocation will occur based on entered ranks/scores concerning the chosen institute and courses.
- If content with the allocated choice, candidates can freeze it and proceed with admission formalities at the institute.
- If seeking better options, candidates can Slide-accept or Float-accept to explore alternatives within the same college or field.
