The National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh was inaugurated on 18th August, 2010 as a member of a group of ten new NITs.
Arunachal Pradesh National Institute of Technology was inaugurated on August 18, 2010, as part of a group of ten new NITs. These new NITs were established as centers of excellence in technical education to combat the growing want for technological professionals in India. NIT Arunachal Pradesh commenced functioning under the mentorship of NIT Durgapur, while the primary everlasting Director Prof. (Dr.) Chandan Tilak Bhunia assumed the price on 1st November, 2011.

The university provides a hostel for the accommodation of its male students. As the hostel is away from the college premises, a transportation facility is provided to students. The hostels have spacious and ventilated rooms that provide a snug life to students.

The university has boys and girls hostels for student accommodation. NIT Arunachal Pradesh campus has indoor and outdoor sports activities centers for students. A medical Centre is also present on the campus for students. Library
NIT Arunachal Pradesh Central Library is comprised of numerous e-books, journals, magazines, books, and various volumes and editions. Sports Facilities
