Facilities and Infrastructure Overview:

Residential Accommodations:

IIITDM Jabalpur provides separate and well-furnished hostel facilities for both male and female students. Currently, there are 08 hostels designated for boys and 04 for girls. These hostels offer dining halls equipped with a Music System. Each hostel is adequately equipped with essential amenities such as geysers in bathrooms, water coolers on every floor, and a deep freezer in the dining area. Additionally, internet connectivity and LED facilities are available. The hostels also feature spacious activity halls for indoor games like Badminton, Table Tennis, and others.

Library Facilities:

The National Institute Of Technology Hamirpur (NIT Hamirpur) library boasts an extensive collection of over 100,000 books along with numerous scientific journals available in both print and digital formats.  The library provides reading halls that can accommodate over 700 individuals and is well-equipped with amenities including water coolers, heaters, and Wi-Fi.

Medical Facilities:

NIT Hamirpur ensures medical care for its students through a well-equipped medical center on campus. In the case of emergencies, patients are referred to the Zonal Hospital in Hamirpur.

Sports Facilities:

NIT Hamirpur offers diverse indoor and outdoor sports facilities where teams actively participate in university-level sports competitions. The available sports include lawn tennis, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, athletics, karate, cricket, and football, among others.

Computer Centre:

National Institute Of Technology Hamirpur Computer Centre operates as a central hub catering to the academic departments and various segments of the institute. Its objective is to establish and sustain a computing environment conducive to academic excellence. The Centre manages diverse computing and communication facilities campus-wide. Moreover, NIT Hamirpur maintains an advanced network encompassing over 2500 voice & data nodes, Wi-Fi, Voice over IP (VoIP), and video conferencing. The Centre also administers servers and an intranet supporting services like Web, Email, DNS, and Proxy. The institute boasts robust connectivity with NKN networked institutions, including IITs and NITs, offering a 1 Gbps connection, along with 100 Mbps Internet Bandwidth under the National Knowledge Network (NKN), MHRD, Govt. of India.  The Computer Centre continuously enhances its services to offer top-quality IT support in the region.

Central Workshop:

National Institute Of Technology Hamirpur Workshop serves as a core facility providing training to 1st-year B.Tech students across various workshops. These shops are equipped with modern tools and machinery facilitating research work at M.Tech. and Ph.D. levels.

Health Centre:

The NIT Hamirpur Health Center provides medical services from 9 am to 8 pm to the campus population. Free medicines are available after consultation, and specialists visit the center on a weekly schedule. Additionally, the facility includes an ambulance for inter-hospital transfers.

Bank ATM and Post Office Facilities:

NIT Hamirpur houses banking facilities with ATMs from the State Bank of India, and a Post Office is located on the first floor of the Estate office building.
