Admission 2024-25 - National Institute Of Technology Hamirpur (NIT Hamirpur)

Admissions are based on the JEE Mains exam rank. Seats are allocated through JoSAA counseling.

Candidates need valid rankings in both JEE MAINS & Advanced for B.Arch. Selection follows the JoSAA counseling process.

Aspiring students must appear for the GATE exam and secure a valid rank. Seat allocation is through CCMT counseling.

Candidates are evaluated based on their performance in CAT CCMT/XAT/MAT. Seat allocation is managed by the university.

Initial selection for the M.Sc. program is based on the IIT JAM score. The final seat allotment happens during the CCMN counseling.

Selection is determined by GATE scores, with seat allocation carried out through CCMT counseling.

Bachelor’s degree in Technology/Engineering with 60% marks, Master’s degree in Science with 60%, or Arts/Commerce with at least 55%. Candidates need a valid GATE/CEED/JEST (for Physics) score or hold a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) of CSIR/NBHM/UGC NET/DBT/ICAR/ICMR/ICPR or DST INSPIRE Fellowship.

Final selection depends on the candidate's performance in the interview round. Dual degree holders (M.Tech.+Ph.D. or M.Sc.+Ph.D.) can apply. For dual degree applicants, the grade point average of the last two semesters is considered. Additionally, applicants must hold CSIR JRF/UGC/NBHM/DBT/ICAR/ICMR/ICPR or DST INSPIRE Fellowship or possess at least 2 years of professional work experience.
